Been watching some gameplay of Luigi's Mansion 3, and it just dawned on me how much I'd like to see a Metroid game that sort of follows...I don't how to describe what I mean. The way the camera moves, you know? Like it's always viewing from a 2D perspective but the game itself is 3D? Like Other M kind of tried that but...Well, it's been nine years, I think everything that can be said that's wrong with that game has already been covered. Like the game would probably be way bigger than Luigi's Mansion, and probably more demanding of the system, but I think there's potential for something interesting in that idea.

I don't know, maybe it wouldn't work as well as I think it would, but it's fun to think about.

I've been watching Jacksepticeye play it and it looks like a blast with fun puzzles and charm. If Pokemon and Star Wars weren't coming out soon I would buy it.

I completed the main quest in Dragon Quest XI. I knew about the post game. But since I didn't want to spoil anything for myself, I didn't really read into it until now. I always thought it was like most other post game content with other games. More mini quests, new strong monster bosses to fight, new weapons and armor to collect, etc. You know, more busy work. Turns out, it continues the real story. Now I'm torn between continuing right now, or saving it for later and start on the Witcher 3.

Also, I put a bunch of hours into DQ XI. The only other Switch games I put more hours in are Breath of the Wild and Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Those other two games benefited with the fact that I didn't have nothing else waiting to play. If DQ came out earlier in the year, I would probably put more hours into it then Zelda. (not Xenoblade, that game's a monster I couldn't put down)

Tencent wants to work with Nintendo to attract "console game players in the U.S. and Europe"

Lets see if this partnership will work or not, and not end up like the Philips CD-i:

"What we want is to expand from China, and one target is console game players in the U.S. and Europe," a Tencent official - who asked not to be identified - told the Wall Street Journal. "We hope to create console games with Nintendo characters, and learn the essence of making console games from Nintendo engineers."

"Nintendo games are not constructed to make people pay a lot of money," another Tencent official added.

"Women are becoming a driving force behind the growth of the gaming market," analyst Daniel Ahmad told WSJ. "Chinese developers are not only shifting to create games aimed at female players, they are also tailoring existing games to better appeal to them."

Interestingly, this is backed up by reports Nintendo has asked external developers to focus on games designed to appeal to young women, "such as romance games, a genre with passionate fans including in China" according to the WSJ.

"Tencent is skillfully pursuing silent global domination, via expansion primarily in the form of major and minor investments in [video game] industry companies around the world without rebranding them as Tencent," added Lisa Cosmas Hanson, managing partner at Niko Partners.

    Young women like romance games?

Most women I know perfer Mortal Kombat, Need for Speed and Call of Duty games with the constant: "YEAH! HOW DO YOU LIKE THAT?! I JUST MADE YOU MY B****, MUTHAF****!!! WOOOOOOOOO!!! SUCK MY D***!!!"

With me too drunk to give a damn.

I’m curious, can someone give me an example of a “Romance” game?

My DQ XI playthough update: I’m not sure if I like where the storyline went in the postgame. But I continued. I ran into a boss that nearly kicked my ass, and made me realize, I may need to grind to compete.

So I save the post game for later and started on Witcher 3. I just got though the beginning tutorial and I think I’ll also save this game for a later date.

I’m putting the Switch down for the week and rest my eyes. I’ll pick it up again when Pokémon comes out on Friday and won’t buy a new game until I complete these 3 games. (Unless they surprise me with a Xenoblade Chronicles drop in January.)

There are many "romance" games available on the Switch's eShop.

Most are for male audience with female characters with big boobs and panties shots.

I think there are 3 or 4 for female audience.
