Not surprising for a limited run 'Con Exclusive.

 

Especially considering the original is $125-ish (and still fairly available) and this is much more limited in number than that.
$25 markup for TFcon exclusive and an exclusive release is pretty good.

 

No doubt it will suffer from the same fate as the last one. TCP is sold out of Hephaestus, but I know quite a number of places where I can get it for around 90 SHIPPED. That's a 35 dollars discount.

I'll just wait till the same thing happens here.

 

That’s a distinct possibility, but I think your best comparison is to Maketoys’ Delta Manus, which was a TFCon exclusive that TCP carried and then sold after the con - they still have them in stock, but I imagine since it’s an exclusive, TCP will wait quite a while before letting them skip to clearance or going on sale. Maybe Black Friday?
From what I know, Hephaestus wasn’t an exclusive, just a red re-deco that was released at many retailers.
But where do you see him for ~$90 shipped? I’d be interested.

 

Got the reissue (non-metallic) and it came with the translucent swords.

It's very possible that the same will happen here, but I'm not willing to take that chance.

Don't worry about it. Nowadays the word "exclusive" is overused.

XTB G2 Stunticons (other than Deathwish) are supposed to be "TFCon exclusives", but then again all sorts of stores would have them. The only thing exclusive is the timing i.e. they are exclusive to when TFCon is held. Kinda like: this product is exclusively released in January 2019, we won't be releasing it any other month. No kidding!!!

I don't know what version BBTS has in their stock, but I bought regular Caelus from them last week and he had the non-translucent swords. Luckily I already had Triton. Both sets were too tight and had to be sanded.

I also got the rest of the team since they were finally all in stock. Loving Vulcan, though that tail was a pain the first time. Thanks to those way back in the thread who explained it.

Hey all, any suggestions for a decently scaled optimus prime (or a series I should look into) to along with this guy? Not looking for a game-accurate scale (op would be tiny lol).

As for aesthetic, not picky but I already have mp-10 so nothing too G1 like. I really like the look of striker manus, but I think he is just a bit to tall
