Uhhh those, um, really look....not good

I'm not gonna jump to conclusions yet, as there's some inconsistencies still worth taking into consideration. It's highly likely these are just holdovers for the in-between period of G4/G5, kinda like G3.5 was. And heck, if there's an animated feature for these, there's a chance they may look better in motion like Equestria Girls was

From the infamous 4chan leaks in 2017 that revealed early plans for G5, they had Pinkie as a Pegasus and Fluttershy as a Unicorn, which isn't here, so these are probably not G5

does anyone have photos of the backs of the packaging? maybe it explains “The
Ponies Drink a magical Potion that changes them into Chihuahuas!”. with some sort of Pound Puppy tie in?

Because Hasbro sucks. I don't know how big these are supposed to be?

 

The look small G4, that's the small bubble packaging.

 

Oh. Thanks. I thought these might be Fashion Style sized. Maybe the big heads threw me off? Or maybe I'm still so used to the proper scale of MLP that I automatically think that? I've never gotten used to baby sized adults, despite the fact that I own some G4s in that size.

 

You can compare their body to the size of the brush in the package if that helps.

 

That's a good trick.

 

I wonder if their heads can be swapped? The legs and hooves are very G2-ish.
