I’m still frickin’ mad that I spent money on the Siege figure only to have this one come out the very next year.

I’m wondering if, if I were to buy this one, then next year they will come out with another figure that’s even better? I don’t know, like one that combines with the trailer to become a TRUE Powermaster Optimus Prime (none of that Titans Return “I just look like PMOP’s combined mode, but I don’t actually have an individual cab mode or Hi-Q figure, taking away the entire reason that PMOP was cool in the first place” bullshit)?

Ooh, I have an idea, HasTak, maybe you could do that, but make it have the ugly fake windshield chest that all those 3rd party PMOP/Ginrai figures love to have, and then the NEXT YEAR after THAT, you could release ANOTHER even better figure, this time with a REAL windshield chest! Then you’d get me to buy a figure basically 4 times!

At least we’re past the Hollow-Robot-Repaint Wars Trilogy, right?

He looks great I'm actually happy they got rid of the gray hands and yellow eyes, (wasn't much a fan of yellows eyes anyways) but man he's actually a hair taller then siege prime but either way he's a definite must

Animated CHUG figures would be awesome but that would require Hasbro to step away from G1 which probably won’t happen.

The POTP leaders are out of scale for one. Second their combined modes are compromised by all the kibble. They were also fairly hollow last I remember.

This Prime still has the removable Matrix and the trailer. Except the trailer is also the battle platform and repair bay from the old toy, and it can combine with the Micromaster bases from the new line. Plus the base Prime is chalk full of 5mm ports for armor and weapons.

We already got Lockdown, Lugnut, Blitzwing, and (basically, with TFP's versions) Bulkhead. I would love to see a CHUG-style Animated Ratchet, Prowl, Megatron and Starscream though. (I never loved Optimus' Earth design, although his Cybertron design is dope)

Hasbro has always been kind of poking at or dancing around G1 but they didn't really go all-in on "okay, this IS G1"... not "updated" or "modernized" G1 like the older Classics, not G1 references like every non-Bayverse Starscream ... but full-stop, GEEWUN. Now that they're really GOING THERE going there, I expect after Seige they'll pivot in a very different direction, either towards Beast Wars or a more inclusive Generations line. Don't sleep on the A/E/C homages that have already shown up in the Seige line either... it means there will be at least a couple 'other lines' represented along the way.

The point is, Hasbro knows they have to switch up the formula. Now that they've finally gone pretty slavishly G1 (and I'm willing to go back to the beginning of Combiner Wars as part of that arc, since Siege Omega is explicitly compatible with Titans Returns base figures and the 'main team' combiner molds perfectly complement -- and in some cases even ARE (Lancer) -- Seige figures), they're going to HAVE to flip the script -- BIG TIME -- once this trilogy is finished, just to rekindle interest... not just among the kiddies, but among older fans who finally, at long last, got the modern (not modernized -- as in 'updated look' -- but MODERN as in 'a toy that looks like the character from the 80s but was designed this decade') G1 toys we've clamored for since Beast Wars came out and created an expectation of fully poseable figures with integrated accessories. By the end of the WfC trilogy, I think all of us will be ready for a fresh take on things. And hopefully the Netflix series is actually good, and gives us a new G1 tv series we can hang our hat on for the next 20-30 years while the franchise explores interesting new directions.

Half of those that we “already have” are older figures that are hard to get, the other half are 1) a G1 version of the character who had a shoddily engineered version of the face gimmick slapped on and 2) and entirely new version of the character.

*sigh* another G1-inspired Prime that I’ll buy even though I don’t really need it :/

Sad to see that someone couldn't keep their promise of not posting the pics.

There goes the chance of getting to see pics beforehand again.

Wish the eyes were still yellow. They stood out and made the head look so much better. Now, I can barely even see the eyes.

    This x1000.

Glad they fixed the hands, but still bummed about those grey leg pieces. Yet, once I see it in person, I know it will be hard to resist. *sigh*, indeed.

All I can say is that thank god we have a classics Prime without some unsightly arm kibble. Go back and look at the first classics Prime, good god that kibble was ugly as sin.
