Without the weapon modes they could have elbows.

I dunno I just think that they'd have advertised a weapon mode at the con. =/

The plastic that they had dedicated to their weapon modes. For some of them like Flak & Powertrain, they're extra joints that could've been used instead for additional articulation, for others, it's simple pegs that take up valuable plastic, like the "handles" on Power Punch & Red Hot. That amount of plastic means a lot more with small figures like that.

You’re not wrong but I guess we will find out eventually.

This is a great comment though. I think the simple handles work way better though than the flip out peg.

nah, the arms are too thin to have a decent joint, the jet one only gets away with because they dont have to hide as door panels, and of course their going to have weapon modes, kids (and some collectors) like stuff like that. looking forward to the upcoming masters, but im still hoping we get the missing members, even as light remoulds

Having collected tons of figures that size and smaller in my time, I reject that claim. There absolutely could be very quality joints at that size.

There's no "of course". There have been many a 2-inch robot line which had most of their characters not form weapons. Claiming that there's an "of course" there is ridiculous.

Looking at the pics of RUNAMUCK on tfwiki and I will eat my hat if he isn't a repaint/remold of Cliffjumper. The boxy area around the back of the head is almost a dead match...

but fan vote molds are always new molds intended for that character, with the exception of victorion who was 6 figures.

I don't think there has ever been a fan vote character made from a repaint other than Victorion. To have so many months available etc, almost defeats the purpose of having a vote at all if itll be a mere repaint, even Bee wont be a repaint of Cliff according to the NYCC interviews so I doubt Runamuck will be

Warden said they were trying hard to get double wheel feet. So probably not...

the joints need to be able to withstand play by a kid, and some of the micromaster arms are only a few mm thin, and small tfs like them need something else to distinguish them from the other, larger bots otherwise they would be more likely to shelfwarm like so many legends class figures before them, so a fun (albeit doofy) weapon mode that barely encroaches on anything fits the bill, but i do wish the legs were pinned.

Maybe someday in the future, all or most Micromasters and Battlemasters will have elbows and knees

I believe so. I never got into the series, but their little figures always intrigued me. So much articulation and so many accessories for such little figures. I subconsciously ended up using them as the standard for figures that small. =/

These were on twitter today, I like it but there's something off about the mold, at least for me.

Agreed... when you consider the Diaclone pilots that are fully articulated and barely 3 cm tall and with magnets in feet, and at their tiny size of course they are a bit fragile and not for children that might make them into a snack, but when Micromasters are more than double the height and much bulkier, there is no reason why they can't have more articulation that would be solid. I've seen such figures, just can't remember what they were, but it would just be so much better.
