My MFT UM 2.0 arrived today, yet I have no desire to open him up/want it after knowing that MFT Delta Magnus comes with the chest window.   
I guess, I'll hold him as MISB for now then sell him whenever MFT release the chest window.

 

I find it insane they haven't added a balljoint head.

 

ha ha...i wouldn't even bother with all that. he will only ever be worth 15 plus shipping or 20 shipped. so just pop him open and enjoy him till the next one comes out.

Mine finally arrived! Almost a month shipping time. I imagine it's possible that it's related to the goings on in Hong Kong, in which case, the wait is perfectly acceptable. He looks great with the rest of my collection and naturally I pit him against Galvatron.

 

Received mine yesterday and he looks great, however I always seem to have lots of sprue marks on my MFT figures. His feet, hip skirts, shoulders, everywhere. I'll just clean them up myself but bleh! And my face paint isn't the greatest. On a closeup you can see the silver isn't painted all the way up to his eyes. He will look great on a shelf next to Flame Commander when he shows up.

 

Mine arrived last week and he is awesome! He is my first MST and I came away very impressed. I love how MFT added the matrix cavity and the ramps. He was my third 3P Legends ever and it has been great!

 

dude arrived today. he is just awesome and at the same time a let down in alt mode. that's why he's staying in bot mode.

Handling this guy again, it really shows just how far we've come in the legends game - some of these early guys are downright shoddy compared to the newer ones.

 

Yeah, they stopped upscaling early Hasbro and Iron Factory legends. You can only move up from there.

@RickyLeeSTF you actually nailed the reason I was asking for a pic. I wasn't sure how they would look together and wanted to see if I needed to go ahead and order a MFT Cyclonus or wait for a potential Cyclonus 2.0 based on the MST mold. I was glad I waited and got Magnus 2.0 instead of the first version. I'm thinking maybe I need to wait for a Cyclonus 2.0 as well?

 

It looks like, mft is improving its quality. Way much better than the lambo bros.

 

I have to say, I think the Lambo bros are an exception rather than the norm. I have almost everything MFT has released and those are the weakest of the bunch - just a different feel than everything else they've produced, which is a shame because as popular characters they represent an entry point into this scene for a lot of curious collectors. The plastics just feel a bit "thin" and they are slightly more fiddly than other MFT bots - but they do look great (IMHO).

I agree this Ultra Magnus is one of their better figures too (as well as the Blaster OS KO which I so highly recommend) so it's kind of like comparing their best to their worst.

 

Unlike the Lambros, which are original MFT designs, this Ultra Magnus is a knock-off. So I'm not sure how much credit MFT deserves for the improvement in quality. Figure is definitely awesome though.

 

Time to send Cyclonus back to Unicron for an upgrade... Well he's OK but yeah, dated (that was that, 2 years ago?).

 

If memory serves, the DX9 version was released early/mid 2015.
