Wish there were some pictures with the existing Revoltech figures for a scale reference.

    I have per-ordered one.

From the pictures and video review that I've seen so far, sorry to say .... the quality and finishing on this figure is very disappointing for the price that they are asking for .... Thinking of cancelling my order ..... :(

Articulation is superb though ..... SIGH!

Based on what reason exactly? How is the figure poorly made and has bad QC when you have just watched videos and seen some pics online? Hahahha..
You don't even have this in hand. LMAO
Sees profile age: oh...19 years old...
    Umm....just a baby. ;)
Edit: while I may sound condescending, it's safe to say that Amazing Revoltech Yamaguchi toys are super poseable action figures that are made to just mess around with ..therefore are obviously lacking the fine form and quality finishing say for example, such as Soul of Chogokin stuff or Flame Toys, 3A and etc. You pay waay more for those obviously. While 90 bucks seems expensive for this new action figure, buy it if only you are a die hard fan of Optimus Prime. Don't bother to get it if it isn't for your personal preference or collection. Also go right ahead and buy the inevitable KO if you want to. It's your choice. Nobody's business. ;)

I agree with you. Could be the lighting in the Fwoosh video but the finish of the plastic, (especially the red) doesn't impress me.

Wish he would have been MP-scaled too. Articulation at that size would have been awesome.

Your comments about my post seem rather juvenile and myopic.

I did say - based on the pictures and videos I've seen so far. I also said that the articulation is superb. I'm being unbiased and objective. I am a huge fan of Optimus (maybe not die-hard like you), but I do not buy blindly. I put my money (and faith) down on this pre-order without second thoughts when I saw it many months back. Been waiting patiently for months, and I feel rather disappointed with what I've seen so far (based on the pictures and videos).

But thanks for reassuring me that they are super pose-able. It did make me feel a bit better - honestly.

Do not brush off K.Os. Some officially-licensed figures look/perform like crap (compared to K.Os), and don't deserve the prices that they are asking for (personal-opinion of course). But as always, and like you said it yourself, it's your money, you can spend it however you want it, nobody's business.

Just on a side note - do you really believe the age someone puts up online nowadays? You are a very easy target for online scams if you do ...

Yeah, I wish the colors were painted on. Would give the figure a richer color tone.

Anyway, hope it looks better in the flesh (fingers crossed) ...

I agree with @freedomleader. This guy is overpriced and underpainted, compared to the other Amazing Yamaguchi figures. He looks alright and has great poseability, but he's awfully small and plain compared to his line buddies who are around the same price but more plastic and better paint. Here's a screengrab from The Fwoosh's review for example, a comparison of Optimus with Deadpool and Iron Man from the same line. Optimus is actually more expensive than the other two on BBTS, despite being smaller and quite a bit less painted. Deadpool is $75, Iron Man is $85, and this Optimus is $90. It's just not enough plastic for the price, especially compared to other figures in the same line

And check my profile too if you'd like, I'm 20. Are my thoughts and opinions on a figure somehow invalid or less meaningful simply because I'm younger?

    Well, here it is: IMAG5292.jpg
    Quick shot in the lightbox:
    IMAG5294.jpg

My thoughts (just copied from Reddit):
He's great. About as big as I expected, colours and paint are nice, joints are buttery smooth but very solid and poseability is as awesome as advertised. But a few things noted since this is obviously a new, experimental release for Revoltech:

    1. Nubmarks are noticeable on the bare plastic, and a few pieces split a little at the seams, but nothing that keeps bothering me. It's probably because Revoltech never worked with this plastic and engineering before.

    2. He's superposeable, but not as poseable as other Revoltechs (no upper waist swivel or tilt). Again, not a big deal and probably because the engineering is all new and uses no Revoltech joints.

All in all I think this release is a complete success. It has a better finish (as in build and QC) than all the other Revoltechs, but still not as good as, say, Figma. But he's so much more fun than figma, SHF or other Revoltechs.

(early review, I had him in hand for about 15 minutes and I can't wait to get back home :D )

Yes. Though replacing them sounds simple enough, you can put a Revoltech joint anywhere you can sculpt a hole. For Prime they use joint systems similar to Gundam kits or MP Transformers, and those require a lot more space and planning (Or at least that's what I'm guessing, my only experience with joint engineering comes from building Gunpla really).

My personal favourites here are the shoulder joints which can go very far forwards/backwards/outwards and the spring loaded flaps in the lower knees which move according to knee bend.
