I don't collect Studio Series, but if I did I think I'd go for this Megatron. Anyone who's heard him speak knows Universal Megatron is best Megatron.

 

You're basically paying $10US more for the Universal Studios logo on the box.

Not liking the official name for this toy - "As seen in parks Megatron".
Why not Battle Damaged Megatron, or Universal Studios Megatron, or any movie related prefix... it would have made more sense and looked better.
(it makes me think someone in a Megatron costume is out there somewhere lurking in public parks, stalking people)
It will be interesting to see how fansite resource pages will list this toy, if they use it's full name (if they always include prefixes that are usually an allegiance or a battle condition).

I will admit it is nice seeing a "clean" version of DOTM Megatron (just need to swap the head for a non-battle damage version), but this is still a hard pass for me.

I mean this specific variation of megatron is also exclusive to universal. So how is it different? If they thought to create a whole new toy to be only at the park years ago, they will do the same now with a remold.

I saw the sixty buck pricetag being tossed around here. Is that confirmed?

 

$60 seems low. Leaders at the CA location were $80 when I was there a few weeks ago so I'd expect him to be the same price.

 

Another figure that will be expensive and hard to get a hold of.  Hasbro is really going of their way for some of their exclusives.  

 

we are already getting a SS 2007 megatron so you dont have to wait much longer

I don't have this mold for Megatron. I can't wait to get this
