Good price, pretty close to retailer cost.

I picked up an unboxed, pre cobbled together one from one of the sites for about $60 :lol

I think he made my G1 turn yellow ;)

On topic, my Jabber is sitting in the Xmas wrapping room so I won’t be able to yell about him being purple for a while :D

So finally got my Jabber from Baba after the whole losing my order issue. Per usual with Fanstoys, I have a QC issue. This one the ankle is pinned wrong and he can't stand up straight; he's always leaning to the right. Looked and one ankle is pinned between 1/8 - 1/4 lower than the other. No easy way that I can tell to get a replacement part either, without disassembling the entire leg. Think this is the fourth FT toy in a row that I've had an issue with. Not sure if I should try and get a replacement from Baba, or go thru FT. Whole reason I order from Baba is to save some money, but to get the last few replacement parts I've had to pay shipping, so it sorta defeats the purpose of going thru him. If I do buy any more FT toys, I am just going to stick to US companies that can get me a part if I need it. On the other hand, not sure if I want to deal with another FT junker.

Realizing the humor there, the amount of residual glue and oil and nonsense, I wouldn't be surprised if it did give off some kinda harmful vapors.

US retailers no longer handle QC issues either. Everything goes through FT now.

But you should be able to easily return a purchase to local retailer and they can deal with it?

I enjoy the show-accuracy of the robot mode, and the vehicle mode is definitely sleeker than Buzzing. It's on par with FT's older molds like Rouge and Hoodlum, so it's not up to current MP standards of poseability and fun transformation. I held it up next to FT Cyclonus and Galvatron and it looks blue to me... maybe some slight red in the mix but definitely more blue than purple. (If the original Quietus was blue, this is DEFINITELY blue too)

What about water? Isn't water generally blue, I always heard that was 75% of the world. The sky is also often blue. I get that you said objects, but we're pretty well surrounded by blue on this planet. I know blue and I know purple, and this fucker is purple.

Correct. If you don't want to deal with DIY stuff, you are and should be completely able to return it for a refund.

After service is what is now handled strictly by FT themselves, which is actually a good thing if you ask me.

They are not denying after sales service though. Ask for a part, they'll send it to you.

They said as long as you are careful you will not break it. They didn't say they are not going to stand behind their product i.e. they won't send parts out. A number of reviewers (at least 3 of them) haven't broken theirs.

My Jabber from TFExpress shipped while I was in NYC last week and just hit customs in NY. I'm hoping it'll get here and be waiting for me when I return from Dallas later this week.

You know that a bunch of people had the joints in question pre-stressed or cracked out of the box, right? Saying just be careful is a slap in the face when you're staring at a manufacturing (and possibly design) defect.

I think it's fair to say that FT's public response to this problem has been crickets. I also think it's fair to say that there are clearly manufacturing and QC issues, which have resulted in really inconsistent quality between samples. And while it's unclear exactly what is causing the blue panel breakages (or if there's even a single cause), we do that, in every posted review, the giant tabs on the hood require excessive amounts of force to tab the forearms into/out of (which are in turn connected to the blue leg panels). That's a serious design flaw, and begs the question of exactly how one is to be careful here, short of shaving down or eliminating the tabs.

I'll believe FT's service is adequate, when we actually get reports of people showing unbroken replacement parts in hand. I use unbroken as a qualifier, because if the replacement parts come from the same run, they will likely have the same issues. It'll also be interesting to see what the actual turnaround times for those parts are, given that we're presumably dealing with shipping from China.

I think potential buyers should be aware of all of these issues before committing to a purchase.
