If the window between reveal and launch is 6 months, I think we won't see a new reveal until december to be released in june

And the new Transformers Generations book is scheduled to be released on 10th december, if you know what I mean ;)

Right. It's literally the one thing I'm benefitting from having to wait so much longer now between releases that interest me none.

Seeing the scans of the latest Figure King with Siege Astrotrain in it, has me all excited for a Masterpiece Astrotrain. I think TT can pull it off; a proper train, shuttle and robot, all in one. Astrotrain is the first Decepticon triplechanger to appear in the cartoon, he was in a lot of episodes and they can release him in various color schemes. Not to forget it's about time again for Megatron to extend his forces, seeing all the Autobot additions lately. When TT, when? Pretty please?

So yesterday i was transforming some of the autobots, and after Ironhide and Ratchet, i was wandering: "if Ironhide can have a plus, in matte colors, release, Ratchet is already toon accurate. (I don't think they will remold the hips)
Also, is UltraMagnus already compatibile with the new toon style, according to you?

Yes and no. He's definitely part of the toon accurate era, but his articulation and amount of paint apps are very much from the previous era (in fact his articulation isn't great for any era of the MP line). His truck cab doesn't match Optimus now MP44 is out, and his bot mode is massively out of scale with the rest of the line also. I don't think it will be high up on Takaras list of characters to redo, but I do think somewhere down the line, whether it's months or years, they will eventually revisit him. I'd definitely like it if they did. While I like MP22, the idea of a new version with improved scale, parts count, articulation and paint apps could be really special.

Solid speculation. The think the biggest hurdle in a Magnus redo, though, would be price. I think he'd probably have to come in around MP-44's price or higher. Is Magnus popular enough to sell well at that price point? I'm not sure...

    I'd like this too @Chris C137 .

Mmmm good points Kibble.. If they kept the same ingenious (most fun?) MP transformation that he has but made him smaller with some paint and articulation maybe he could come in a little cheaper than MP44. Dinobot price perhaps?
Keep that same ingenious engineering but just reduce that scale add some paint and joints and he might even be able to take that crown from MP44 & 36 imo.

Unless they use a white optimus as base. That would divide the r&d costs between them and just design the trailer. Im pretty confident Takara had something in mind like that when designing mp44

Seemingly trailer armor was even more difficult to pull off than the all-in-one MP-22 was. If TT was willing to break the trailer up into pieces I think it would be an easy enough design, but I don't think TT is down with it breaking into 4 or 5 pieces that attach to the limbs separately.

MP-32 Optimus Primal was released in 2016 to coincide with the Beast Wars 20th Anniversary.

Logical to test the waters on the back of an anniversary. But as more releases have come, the waters have remained just as hospitable.

Could 2021, the 25th Anniversary, see an uptick in release numbers? Dare we dream of 2 (or even 3) released in a single year?

Launched in 2002 according to the Wiki, so 2022.

    Ebay:
    I'm guessing tokyo
I agree, it's a rare occurrence that they reveal an entire figure in the magazines, at the very least we might get a hint.

I could be wrong but I dont think they have ever revealed anything at Tokyo comic con.

I'm guessing wonderfest as well and I'm preparing to be disapointed for another beast wars figure. We also havent gotten a remold in a while so I'd be willing to guess it may be a cliffjumper reveal

    Correct.
If we dont see a reveal to Wonderfesr prepare for 2018 again. Its why I put my money on this month/ December. Maybe a mall/+ in May or June with 49 in June or July. I imagine a Hound repaint at some point as a general release, be it numbered or plus so thats a slot taken also.

2018... *shudder* after 2019’s lineup that would be doubly rough.

We’ve seen boom years followed by a bit of a bust year before, but it does seem like they’ve upped the balance to even BW and Classic G1. That’d suggest we’ll see at least 4 figures next year, or only a single G1 and Lio Convoy. That doesn’t feel likely.

Also, 2020 is the 10 year anniversary of Transformers Prime! Do you think we might get an MP of that? I mean, it's unlikely, but many people didn't expect there to be a Beast Wars Primal either, and look where that got us!
