I'm just realizing, ER prime is a combination of Siege and SS 38 Prime, the wheels and grill end up in the same place as SS 38.

The only parts coming from Siege are the feet, knee and outer Leg. The extra joint I noted may be just used to stabilize the new calf

 

It almost feels like for the first time since I can remember when, Hasbro is actually building from their past engineering of figures. Instead of starting at ground zero every time they do a figure, they are now looking at the previous iteration and taking clever ideas or smart techniques and incorporating them into the new figure. This has the benefit of saving them engineering money and time while simultaneously offering the opportunity to refine and improve something that worked well the first time.
Why this hadn't been done before now is anyone's guess.

 

Yeah it’s almost as if they are taking a incremental research approach to things, which is a good thing if you ask me.

 

I would like an ER needle nose. His jet isn't too cybertrony so he would fit in the line

I personally think it's the perfect chance. They have the same two-wheels-per-foot design that Runamuck has, and since Runamuck will be in Earthrise with that same design, it'd make sense to release characters that can share Runamuck's engineering.

And you don't necessarily need to get rid of the previous iterations like siege prime because its an earlier version of him on cybertron

 

I didn't say "retool", I said "shared engineering". They'd almost necessarily have to be new molds. If they're of similar size to Runamuck, maybe they can even share some parts. But they probably wouldn't be retools.

 

Doesn't matter if they're retools or share some engineering, as long as we get all of themn that's what truly matters 

 

Hopefully they have one in the works, from the proposed vs. pack. Also hoping they do a proper Quake update while they're at it.

Uh, there's an Apeface figure coming up.. and we just got Siege Jetfire, and Whisper and Stormcloud, and half of Skytread is a jet.. PotP had Darkwing and Dreadwind, TR had the earlier Targemaster jets, Blitzwing, Sky Shadow, there were Aerialbots in the line before that, etc.
I agree that the others don't get nearly as much attention as they should, but suggesting that we only get the Seekers for jets in each line is misleading.

 

I think they could still make him cybertronian since the line technically takes place in space and for earth decepticon jets they could bring in the predators maybe?

 

But I really really like that jet and I want more non seeker jet representation >:[ all we got was sky fire and sky in sky tread. We need more cons to back up starscream! We need them all!

What’s wrong with g1 beast machines quake hybrid? Can we get a real beast machines quake someday?

I am in total support of this.
Needlenose is such a nice guy.

He totally saved Spinister even though he was terrified of the Autobots.
And he would have saved Windsweeper if Thunderwing had let him.
And he gave a big speech to rally support for the Decepticon cause. He's such a nice guy.
He looks great too.
Such an awesome F-16 alt mode. I'd love a new toy of him.

 

What if Needlenose gets retooled from siege starscream mold? I mean it looks right on him. I even saw a custom like that, one time.
