    Thanks guys!!

On a side note, I love photographing these figures in different poses so I tried doing a section of shelving with the MPs more dynamic but I have to say I'm not feeling it and actually like them displayed more neutral :lol  Opinions?

And as far as a collecting update, I added Grand Max, a Holy Grail I thought I'd never own, to my collection this week (stickers and missing parts on the way)

And on a less exciting note, I finally got my RID display put together (Scourge coming to take the spot of Ruination)

I can only dream about having a collection of that many transformers ( and a room big enough to display them ) . Fantastic collection and great displays too . I enjoyed seeing the story of the displays in pictures .

I updated the first page with close up shots of everything ...

Most recent update is having to get creative and rearranged the main display to accommodate all the Season 2 Combiners, and I adjusted the Timeline wall to include some more recent lines...

    Enjoy!! :D

I’ve considered it ... and if this dry spell continues and a flash sale pops up I might bite...

I’m not in a hurry to replace Eligos like I was with UT Allen, let’s say, but if I do I’ll add my least favorite to my alt mode display in the center :)

I'm totes ok with blue steel static poses. Dynamic is ok for smaller scenes but for me, I jut dig the neutral poses with a slight head turn or waist pivot.

You should give Quietus a shot, at least while it is still readily available.

I posted about this in the main forum, but while updating a few things in this thread, I thought I’d log this bit of history here too...

So my sister works at a public library in the greater Houston area and they have a lit case where they display book themes all summer, but during the school year they have displays about anything! In the past, they’ve had Barbie and LEGO on display, but usually it’s a traveling collection of historical significance.

    DC0FE647-556F-4456-87A0-B6688931E44C.jpeg

They haven’t had a “fun for kids” one in a little while so she reached out to see if I’d apply to have a sample of my collection on display... and of course I said yes!

She sent me the dimensions and a I started planning!

Even though it didn’t have to have any, I wanted to include as many comic books and other print media into the display since it was a library after all...

    1C2962FB-10FA-4C10-8CED-1C0A6DDCD1A2.jpeg

I measured out the shelf size and decided on 6 different “vignettes.” The display cabinet is actually 12 compartments, so I tried to plan for a glass wall running through and make it look like 6 larger displays visually...

Once I decided on everything, I started making a mess in our game room to pack :lol

Everything got loaded into the car:

The collection went up a couple weekends ago and will be taken down at the end of the month.

I was allowed in an hour before they opened to get setup and I was almost finished when people started coming in. It was cool to see kids and parents gravitate immediately to it and recognize a bunch of them.

I kept the Combiners and Dinobots at the lower level so kids would see these GIGANTIC cool toys right at their height.

Kept the 1984 lineup at the top so parents would hopefully recognize their childhood figures!

I was also impressed by the equal amount of girls running up and being excited. A lot of them kept pointing at the Arcee figure I put in the movie display, almost like “Look! Girls can be Transformers too!!”

Honestly, the whole thing came together better than I expected and I’m just as excited to share it with you guys as I am with the public here locally...

For the next few weeks, I just couldn’t go into my collection room because it looked like I got robbed :lol

Absolutely amazing work! Hell, I have most of those figures and I would still travel for miles to see that set up in public!

The themes shelves were a great idea and you may well just turn a few of the grown ups on to the MP line as they'll wonder what those larger, super detailed and articulated versions of their 80s childhood toys are all about!

This is absolutely amazing. Good on you for sharing your collection with the public like that. Even though its in a glass case, I'd still be too paranoid to do something like this lol.

Although I'm sure the faces of those happy kids make it well worth it.

Not gonna lie, I had to “pretend” they weren’t there for a month so I wouldn’t think about it :lol

Luckily my sister in law actually works at the library so there were eyes on it daily m-f!

I have referred to your room display many times while trying to figure out what to do with my collection. You've done a wonderful job in inspiring me on what looks good for displaying my Transformers. Great job!!!

Your G1 'Transformers logo/name' that sits on top of one of the shelves (looks to be plastic), is that a custom sign, or is it a retail store display prop? I'm looking to get the same sign, about the same size for my wall.

I appreciate the kudos and I would love to see what you’re doing as you set stuff up!!

That sign I picked up at Hobby Lobby (not sure if they exist around you) but they always have a Marvel/Nerd/etc area and I actually picked this up on clearance a few years back... I’m not sure if there’s a way to track it down specifically, but it’s embossed/molded and printed on aluminum of some sort

Thanks for some direction on the sign. I might even get one made custom, seeing how anyone can do anything nowadays.

Would love to finally show off my collection one day. Getting my basement finished first, is top priority.

In my old apartment I used to display them on the black Billy bookcases (it was just my G1 display)... and they were still great ... but seeing the figures on white as well as replacing the removable shelves with glass made all the difference!!

I originally was going to custom build shelving to fit the room but found the IKEA options fit well enough ... plus I was eager to get it all setup!

it’s crazy to think now that people look at my setup with the same awe I have had for other rooms over the years. I find the art of curating/planning the display almost as satisfying as the figures themselves. I’ve been a shelf-crammer over the years for sure, but I’d rather pair down than stuff now :D

Oh for sure, white bookcases work so well! Transformers have so many cool colours that a white background just works. And Ikea is great too, very reasonable $!!!!

    My USA bucket list:

    - Vegas
    - San Dimas
    - Alamo Dratfthouse cinema
    - Ed Roman's guitars
    - Santa Barbara (although she came back to UK...)
    - Your collection

    :D
