Don't worry, I understand that you aren't trying to argue about the toys. You're absolutely right though. That's why I couldn't argue, because you are right. That's exactly how the characters fought, and that's why Starscream survived 2 movies, and Brawl didn't even survive one.

To add to the discussion, I think Brawl is one of the lowkey best movie designs. Loosely based on an existing character, really good integration of vehicle parts into the armored look, loaded with weapons, cool head. I'm all for the experimental designs in the movies as well, but in terms of a "standard" look, Brawl really captures the things that make a Transformer design memorable.

I agree, the kit looks amazing!! Unfortunately there are no reviews as of yet, so I couldn't comment to it's durability, but I do agree that it looks a bit fragile.

I'll try to keep up on it and provide more info on it, unless one of you news ninjas beat me to it.  

I agree, I was crushed when he got split in half. I was hoping he'd make it, but sadly, that was not the case.

I was honestly surprised that the fans voted for Barricade to comeback, and not Jazz.

 

I don't remember there being a contest just that they went on the boards, saw people asking for more Barricade, and were like "okay then". I think it's cool that he's in the film, but I don't remember that may people getting that hyped over Barricade.

So is SS Soundwave smaller than the new Bumblebee? Is he more around the size of SS Sideswipe?

 

Unpopular figure opinion coming in, but I genuinely think that the original 2007 Jazz toy is a great figure.



The vehicle mode looks great, the robot mode looks good, everything holds together well, the paint is good, and the gimmicks are fun. He's a little T H I C C, but I still love him.

 

Now that I think about it, the 2007 movie has some crazy designs. Unpopular opinion, but I genuinely hope those designs stick around for new movies.

Absolutely, especially considering they were going off of pre-production concept art.

 

The more I see Shockwave, the more I want him. However, I think it was a missed opportunity on Hasbro’s pet to not give him an articulated hand, especially since his hand is so huge.

That would be cool, but I wouldn’t hold your breath. As Hasbro moves forward with their rebooted universe, I fully expect the Bayformer aesthetic to be thrown out, especially since they seem dead set on having the films take on a Geewun aesthetic/design.

I'm right there with you. I think the designs are part of what makes the movies special...with the exception generic Decepticon drones.

 

I think Shockwave can be shorter than DOTM Megatron if anyone extends his legs instead of compressing them down like they were in TonTon's review.

The new Bumblebee looks to be in scale with Barricade, but Bumblebee's eyes are higher than Barricade's and Barricade's are just at the bottom of Bumblebee's eyes.

Soundwave looks to be a little shorter than Barricade (taller than or at the same height of Sideswipe) which is good in my opinion because I plan to display him fighting against Sideswipe.

 

Bonecrusher, Brawl, Ironhide, Jazz, Blackout, and to an extend Scorponok. Yeah I'd want them back!
