Until XTB shows me what toy version motormaster looks like, I am gonna hold my horses and let my stunticons be leaderless for a while. Frankly I am quite happy with just the 4 already released stunticons. Cartoon motormaster and menasor tho- not crazy about how he looks

 

Just wanted to ask - are they releasing a fixed version of anime Drag Strip that has the shoulder issues amended?

 

That's what I'm waiting for! I still haven't bought the last two after reading all the horror stories of broken shoulders and bodies falling apart  

 

@Digger I don't understand why you are getting so defensive about this, if you had made the same comment on a FT thread you would have been gang flamed to the point the mods would have to step in. Acting like someone else's opinion that counters yours is an attack seems a bit childish. The fact remains you are "holding out" for a product that hasn't even been brought up yet seems a bit silly to go on the defensive when @edgecrusher was just stating that fact. I know, I have room to talk about going off on stuff, but damn, take a chill and realize other people's opinion are just that, opinion, and it's the entire point of these threads. Personally I think the all in one gimmick compromises too much of either mode and is just one more thing to go wrong on them. But, if you like it, cool for you, just don't be offended when you go on a competing products thread and say you're going with something else and someone calls you on it.

On another completely unrelated note, I'm tired and haven't had my morning Mountain Dew yet.

Without factoring eBay + Paypal fees, I managed to get back what I paid for them.

I'm not sure. I recently received my Overheat from Baba, and it looked to me that the engine is painted differently to the other images I've seen. Plus, when I watched BSF's video it said he came with a Skids face, which mine didn't. Lastly, Baba's listing called it the Alloy Version too.

All of this, combined with the fact I had zero issues with cracks or with any clearances led we to post earlier that I may have received a 2nd run version.

After a few responses questioning whether a 2nd run has been done, I reached out to Baba and the short story is that Baba doesn't know either way. The only thing that still leaves a wondering in my mind is that Baba did say my figure doesn't come with anything other than a gun and a second face - i.e. no Savant face.

So, either a) BSF's video is wrong, and I may or may not have a 1st run figure, or b) the video is right, Overheat did include a spare Savant face on initial release and I have a second run figure (or missing Savant face!).

The answer is I just don't know, but I maintain that my engine looks different to those I've seen previously. Trick of the light perhaps, or legit different paint job?

Whatever the case, @ibot, and XTB generally, have not confirmed anything so far as I have seen. There was mention in this thread that XTB customer service mentioned a 2nd run as being the thing that would allow replacement pieces to be made. Those pieces are coming it seems, but that doesn't mean there's definitely been a 2nd run, either.

 

I'm mixing and matching from all companies. I'll at least get two MMs. Roadking pulled a marvel of engineering and fun very rare on FT stuff so that one stays. XTB has G2 colors, which is a huge plus, but that DX9 Menasor is looking mighty fine together with their MM.

 

Overheat did come with a Savant face. 100%.

 

Yeah, I know. I just meant that it's probably not a great idea to wait for the whole set to come out before deciding. Motormaster is mostly sold out, for instance.

 

Many people, myself included didn’t have the shoulder issues until weeks or even months later. Mine did have the front end clearance issue and had the Savant face, but no cracking (I looked very closely at mine as there had been some complaints of fractures early on). I looked again months later after being away from the thread a while and reading about the problem. Hadn’t touch it since the first day I received it. I would definitely look at the figure again in a couple of months to be sure yours doesn’t have the same issue.
