Wow! TE needs to do an MP Megs..given how well Magic Square did their Legends model, its definitely possible.

 

I still think her boobs are a tad too big, but she looks amazing all the same. To me based on the size, this is better than the mp. I really hope they do more BW characters beyond these two

Sweet. Would be nice if they were optional, since you never know how well these softer materials hold up to the stress test. An addon kit like this for the MP would be pretty cool.

 

Haven't watched the video but can only imagine the content. I hope this doesn't go the firebird route and get closed...

I'm just glad that her colored tests make her head look way less dinky.

 

Blackarachnia would probably have been thrilled to have giant squishy boobs to torment the other cast with, and I don’t think you need to worry about them degrading faster than the rest of her. TFP FE Prime’s smokestacks* are a kind of soft, rubbery plastic too and they’re fine after nearly a decade.

That being said I don’t like the orange so I hope they release a regular hard plastic version.

*I don’t fondle them.

I remember Diamond Select did the same thing with their Marvel Select Black Cat action figure. This one:


A fun feature I guess, I dunno, I could have dome without it, but it's fine. No one freaked out about it.
I've had it for years and years and it has held up fine. No way to know who is using what materials but it can be done and be ok over time.

 

Yeah, but it's not really clear what they used for materials. There's no guarantee that they used the same stuff as Prime's smokestacks and there have been limited allegations that some of the rubbery plastics used in Bayverse toys starting to melt or deteriorate or something. I'd also want a hard plastic chestplate as opposed to a rubbery one. If anything, soft rubber has a bad habit of indenting and I've had several softer plastic figures get permanent indentations when I have to pack stuff up in a move. Last thing I need is a $40 legends figure with a giant gouge in her chest.

The CyGirl PerfectDark Joanna Dark figure also had 'em squeezably soft. But it was a hollow skin layered over a regular hard torso with molded boobs under the hollow airpocket boobs. It basically ended up feeling like she had large cancer tumors in her boobs. 37year-old me was very disappointed...

 

It's not like this is anything new. I tried to get into 1/6th scale figure collecting/creating using TBleague and similar bodies with silicone outer layers and metallic skeletons, partly because the idea of such hyper-articulated humanoid figures are cool, and partly because why should girls get all the fun of Barbies? She doesn't even get rocket launcher accessories. I also think the Playarts Kai figure of MSG Quiet had them? I dunno.

The bottom line is that this ain't even anything remotely new for action figures. So whatever. It's a feature that I'd prefer BA not have because of a materials issue over anything else.
