I thought at least SM's datamine was from the demo, but just the same Nintendo /gamefreak is not gonna make it easy to access info in the files.

 

two "new Videos" nothing really new in them save perhaps on the longer over view where it shows what seems to be the special attacks of the box legendaries.

Apparently the latest update is quickly removing this, so if yours isn't fully up to date, your game might have this space for a mystery Victreebel form/evo.

 

The new series coming up will premiere with the episode Pikachu is Born. Starring a certain Pichu.

 

So is the new show an actual reboot? I’ve heard conflicting things but that sounds like a full on reboot

 

From what I've gathered, it seems to be going the 'soft reboot' route.

It looks like they're going to give little winks and references the past, with nods to things like Ash throwing the Pidgey clock in his sleep (only Pikachu is lying alongside him this time) and reminiscing about his OG starters while visiting Oak with the new companion etc, but things will generally be distanced from continuity for new fans to jump on.

Basically, what I heard B&W tried to do in the very beginning, before they bottled it and added lots of past stuff to try to salvage the series.

 

Ya, it's pretty much Ash being back in Kanto, reliving the old days in new adventures and tagging along with new friend Go.

 

Is it weird that I'm perfectly Okay with this soft reboot?

 

I’m fine with it too, though personally I’d almost prefer a soft reboot that doesn’t involve ash, let him be head of the elite 4 like red was in gold/silver, just let the cartoon grow past him

 

that would work. Honestly i'd like them to let Ash grow up and let the new protag be Ash's kid

 

That would be great too, could even have his rival be the kid of Gary

 

Still, would have been just as great to have it be that Chairman Rose saw Ash win the Alola League on TV and flies out to sponsor him for the Gym Challenge in Galar.
