Love Bump of Chicken. Hello, World! is legit one of my favourite songs ever, with utterly sublime lyrics, and buttery vocals that just send chills down my spine.

Official English lyrics, via the Blood Blockade Battlefront opening (also a bloody amazing anime opening, but that really has nothing to do with Bump of Chicken):

Welcome to the world of Japanese "Engrish":

    - Engrish.com

If you think their name is odd, just try explaining this Japanese group's name to the police in your own country...

    - Mr. Children - Wikipedia

They're not a "new" band. From wiki:

(Source: - Bump of Chicken - Wikipedia )

Personally, there are only a few Japanese bands or singers that I have liked (Supercar, Hikaru Utada, Boom Boom Satellites, Ken Ishii, etc); the majority of them have been pale imitations of Western sounds or singers, IMO.

Actually, yes, I do. The groups mentioned above usually have a good grasp of the English language, so the benefit of the doubt is given for any strange "English" names chosen. Japanese people, by contrast, have absolutely terrible English skills (Japan comes in the bottom ten for ALL countries in the world when it comes up English ability). As for culturally appropriated or foreign loan words used by English-speaking bands, that is a different matter, although I would think that, due to the more open and international nature of such English speaking countries, that such language (mis) use is less strange than any equivalent in Japan.

Oh, I've always had low opinions of contemporary music. Especially hip hop and it's offshoots..
My parents raised me on a steady diet of classic rock. And I discovered heavy metal at the age of 8 when an uncle loaned me a White Zombie cd. (Pretty sure it was the self titled album, the disc art had an astronaut looking dude on it.)
Went through a nümetal phase, cuz that's all I could get ahold of in the mid 90s. And with internet access I was finally able to find classic stuff like Black Sabbath and Judas Priest. Lately I've taken a shine to Folk Metal and Power Metal (Van Canto, Turisas, Sabaton, and Gloryhammer especially)

I still think that this Bumblebee mold is the superior version in CHUG scale.

It massively benefits from some joint maintenance, stickers and the shapeways kit to turn his shoulders around + his small blaster.
