Wonder if Mirage is going to get a new shoulder cannon, or if Nonnef will repackage the Sideswipe/Red Alert shoulder cannon with a new missile tip

 

they mount on the shoulder differently, i dont think sideswipes would work for mirage

 

The nonnef SS shoulder mount works with Mirage. The rectangular wedge fits in the 5mm port and stays put but doesn't fill the whole port.

 

it would only require changing the part hinged inside, the original body of the shoulder weapon wouldn't have to change much

He's making guns for the deluxes and marketing them for the siege Voyagers instead.

The guns match designs originally made for the Classics/Universe/Henkei and indeed CHMS deluxes, they are being repurposed for Siege toys - he doesn't hide that - he explains that is what the clear ones are for (and one assumes the purple ones too) You can also see that the Blue isn't Colour matched to the Siege toy either but to the Deluxe.

He's just sort of giving the impression to a casual observer that the guns are intended for the Voyagers and they really only are in the respect that they have an effects parts tip on them.

 

That’s not the case as I was involved somewhat in the design process (I’m the one he got all of the stock guns from). They were made for the siege voyagers first and foremost, but thanks to me sharing a pic with him of the red ones on a ghost starscream he decided that they also worked well enough for the deluxes to advertise them as such

 

Does stuff ever go back into production? I just got shockwave, and I don't see the hands on his site anymore.

 

Unfortunately, it's extremely rare.
He's got to know demand is high enough to fire up the injectors again for a particular set.
The gray Shockwave stuff stuck around for quite a while and only just sold out within the last month I believe. I know the purple set sold out pretty quickly and I think I remember Nonnef saying somewhere he just couldn't afford, or it wasn't worth it to get the clear purple plastic again b/c it was so expensive.

 

Hoping he'll do another run of Siege Hound! It's said "restocking soon" for a long time.

 

I think that is a shame as I suspect people would want some clear hands for Shockwave's repaint too.
I don't suppose anyone thought to find him a cheaper supplier since then he'd have one less reason to resist doing it.
