I think these chest flip things don't look nice at all - they actually harm the figure - now if they were removable and had posts on them so they could be arm mounted or something then they might be OK - but that Shockwave looks VERY compromised by the gimmick.

Happy that he's getting a figure after all these years (and I love seeing him in the cartoon) but the point of Rack&Ruin was that it was two robots joined together - this version is more just a robot with two heads.

At least per the show model, he has two torsos as well.

While I can appreciate the homage to his animated counterpart, I think they should have kept the look more inline with his other appearances. :p

Yes, that's true. Although I didn't quite notice that at first on the toy. I'm also happy that they actually transform as my first reaction was that it would be another build a figure.
Looking forward to getting this when it is out!

Yeah, while G1 RnR were two bots who had to share an armpit to survive (because Cybertronian anatomy, whatever), someone explained (a showrunner, I think) that Cyberverse RnR are more akin to siamese twins, like, they have been like that since they were born.
I do wish they release a G1 RnR too later in Generations, but I do like the Cyberverse design better.

Well, at least if this sells well enough that may show Hasbro that there would be interest in a proper CHUG version of the character.

cyberverse rack'n'ruin has two legs, they didnt "fugged up" anything

hes got two torsos, so technically he is still two robots joined together, just doesnt have the middle legs

why would a g1 rack'n'ruin release in the cyberverse line rather than the cyberverse one though? thats like expecting bumblebee to get a beetle figure in cyberverse rather than a muscle car

I don't think I was expecting anything since this news came out of left field although if I had known the character was getting a new figure, I probably would have hoped they stuck to a more traditional approach. It's just a matter of opinion.

but again, this is cyberverse, and rack'n'ruin has been in the show since the first season. expecting anything other than that design would be illogical

Well, they are joint leaders of the Autobots in one alternate reality in Cyberverse, so I guess a figure of them is long overdue

Always good to have options, right? :p  I'm happy fans of this design also have their representation now.

Maybe they shouldn't have strayed so far on the design in the first place.

When were they in season 1? The only episode I know of that they first appeared in was season 2 first(or second) episode

It’s really not that different though, it’s missing 2 legs, an anvil and a hammer. The heads are based on their pre war idw heads. As was pointed out, each head still has its own torso joined at the shoulder

The episode where shockwave tries to make bumblebee think he was a decepticon spy, rack’n’ruin were on the ark and even had some dialogue in that flashback

Rack’n’Ruin should never had only two legs in the TV show. He should never have been changed.
