- Decided to provide a bonus images! One is of the pre-production image and another features the storyboard with some minor dialogue and an idea of what the next few panels will look like! Hope you guys like these!

You can identify the wire work involved in holding up the monkey. Several shoe laces were tied to one another and tied to opposite high ends in the room. In this case the drawer and the handle of the closet. Then our subjects would be suspended by 2 (for normal Transformers) or 4 (our monkey) thread loops. As you can see, the monkey's eyes were animated in post due to his age. He lost his eyes thanks to our active childhoods.



You ever wanna get into story crafting, story boards are awesome. Forgive the wonderful artwork. It's only because I wanted to draw and edit quickly why these images are so stickman-esque. Each tick I made indicated that the image was shot successfully. Dialogue tips were used to follow the script that I had written more easily. Is it easy to follow?

That;s similar to how I plan out my story too, except I use a small notepad that I can flick through and have about 4 panels on each page.

 

That ape's gonna go bananas on Lockdown.

 

Okay, one, comparing the panels to the storyboard makes the comic look better, two, I'm on the edge of my seat, and three, I want to see more!

For once, I have to agree with Dropkick, here. but I think Lockdown will go farther than the moon, like say, Pluto, perhaps? that chunk of ice is currently uninhabited at the moment.

 

I love this payoff for the monkey!  

 

Lets just hope monkey-kins doesn't accidentally boot him over with a good kick.

- A benefit of filming/photographing any film, or in this case, photo comic is working with a storyboard to budget time and work properly. The shot order of the Jazz/Skywarp scenes were organized in this way: Monkey Scenes then Alt Mode Scenes, followed by Bot Mode Scenes. They were filmed out of order with the most difficult or time consuming shots done first, particularly all the Monkey scenes. In post, all that was left was tidying up dialogue and placing the images in the correct order.
