weird, i ordered that 1 but got the purple 1....

 

Honestly i think its down to individual sensitivity (eye/camera) to the colour red. At a basic level, to see purple the paint colour has to include blue and red primary colours - if it didnt, it would be simply impossible for people to see purple, unless there was a red tint to the ambient lighting, and i like many others have looked under several lighting conditions and see purple in all. I think its fair to say that the amount of red in there is very little, so if a person (or camera) sees purple their sensitivity to red is pretty high, and those that can only see blue have a lower sensitivity - so not so much colour blindness, which is an inability to detect a primary colour, just a different sensitivity to red in tiny amounts. Colour sensitivity is not normally tested for, all that is tested is colour blindness.

Also check the hole - mine and at least 1 other had a load of flash / sprue in the hole the tab goes in.

 

Mine was the same. Turning the head backwards for some weird reason lets it pop right in when you push down on it. Some weird leverage thing I assume but it made mine lock in tightly.

 

I did something similar to the guy above and just used a flat piece of plastic or metal to push the tab in at the connection point. I didn't put pressure on the head.

If you look closely at that gray piece under his head, you can see all that plastic flash. There is also flash on the other side of that piece as well. Depending on how brave (and careful) you are, take an Xacto knife and shave off that excess plastic flash on both sides and it'll snap in very snuggly! I did it with my Blurr and it finally fits!

It's the flash (due to poor QC) that's not keeping that tab in. I pushed so hard that I thought I was going to break it at the neck joint but still to no avail. So just trim off the flash and you'll be fine.

Agree, different people have different perceptions of color differences. Just like different cameras, different displays show the same photos, and the colors will be slightly different.
As far as my actual shooting is concerned, under the white light source, the dark blue is clearly displayed. If the light source is yellowish (or the ambient light is dark), the dark blue part will appear "purple".

The third photo, purple on my iPhone screen, is dark blue on the notebook screen.

 

I haven't received mine yet haven't even checked tracking, (hope it's the blue one) either way I'm cool with #teamblurple too!!

But the "original" color in the photos is what sold me on the purchase. I thought the color was pretty close to perfect for the character.

 

Glad I trusted my gut and got this guy. Was debating re buying Buzzing but FT resale value made me go this route. Glad I did, why do I ever doubt FT? Feels so good in hand just like all their stuff

 

Hey guys..I am just about ready to pull the trigger on getting this guy.. I heard in passing that there were some transforming issues that caused stressing and possible breakage.. Can anyone who has him answer to these issues? Trying to decide between Unique Toys Buzzing or this guy...
