I painted a “Magna Convoy” earlier. While I’m waiting on his paint to harden fully .. I was able to do a test fit of the armor after several hours of chipping away plastic to compensate for the added paint on the core bot. I decided to stick to a more old school color scheme for his armor (Luther Wayne did a vibrant more updated color scheme). Plain grays on torso and body to break up the red and blue. I wish I could blacken the biceps but the inner bot would suffer color wise. Armor mode is about 90% done atm. I think this set makes a more impressive Delta than Ultra. Can’t transform until the paint fully hardens.
if someone would only make a skullface for this figure that coloring would also work as a Shattered Glass Ultra Magnus. LOL I want a SG magnus so bad now.
I will soon in both threads. It was enjoyable to paint. The mold is definitely worthy of at least on more recolor, I think, like a Delta.
Amazing work. More I see I Magnus in those the more I think Hasbro should have just went with that years ago.
I would have hoped for a Generations Selects or LG EX limited run of this color scheme. Maybe in Earthrise? Hasbro? Takara? Are you in on this?
I kinda doubt that, the earth rise line is mostly based around "Earth" Vehicles. If we're lucky they might do him for Gen Selects, it's unlikely he'll be a Comicon exclusive because he's both too "New" and "Old" ie. Retired but not for long enough.
Looking very nice. I wish Hasbro would have given us Delta Magnus for the Selects line instead of Astro Shackwave.
