Yeah man   honestly not sure if I'll be getting this guy just yet (if I do I'll have to get BA's Optimus and I've been kinda holding out there haha). Like you said, just waiting for something that clearly shows what's been changed/improved/ updated.

Oh man, I am so confused by all the KO's, OS KO's, redone KO's etc of Bayverse Megatron figures.
I'm not even really that into the character or any of the designs but kind of needed some for my Optimus/Megatron shelf.

For Optimi I have Weijiang M-01, LT02, and will eventually be picking up ToyWorldws Last Knight Prime.
For Megatrons I have Rendsora and the older Hasbro ROTF Megatron (which I think was actually based off a design that wasn't in the film or something)
I just ordered the Honey Badge KO to pair with LT02 (to replace the Hasbro one), and the TF Dream KO to pair with MS-01 (understanding that these don't actually match up to each other in terms of which movie they're from.. but I don't care. I just want them to be relatively close to each other in height, because, again, I don't care about the scale resented in the movies and think Prime and Megatron should always be the same height...)
I'll eventually replace Rendsora with the UT Megatron and pick up TW's Optimus (because they are very similar in height, see above about wanting the characters to be eye to eye.)
I looked at the BMB but I ended up with TF Dream factory instead. Not really sure whether that was the right move or not. I just really struggle with the Bayverse designs, recognizing and remembering which is which and what is more accurate.
I don't even know what I'm going to do if ToyWorld ever releases that Bumblebee movie Prime... What would I pair with that for a Megatron?

 

That's why I do have BMB's oversized Hasbro deluxe SS Megs next to WJ MPP-10. They're about that same size, looking great together (despite different universes) and it's like BMB vs WJ in KO war ))

I feel stupid for asking but what's the difference between the Studio Series Megatron & and the MPM Megatron? I know they are different molds but are they supposed to be the same figure with different molds or are they his different incarnations from different movies? If so, which is which?

Like @Starganderfish I don't have much attachment to the bayverse figs but I do still find myself putting together a little collection.

Can someone help clarify what is the difference between the ayoi Mech ls12/black mamba version vs. The wj/model Wizard sky shake version vs. The black mamba ss ls-06?

I think the first 2 are OS ko of the MPM with the ayoi Mech being 1cm bigger. And the ls-06 being an OS ko of the ss. But I'm still confused if they are supposed to be the same Megatron from the same movie since they look diff...

Any help would be appreciated

 

Yes, the BMB LS06 is an oversized version of the Studio Series' Megatron, wich is the Revenge of the Fallen version, (cybertronian tank). The model wizar and ayoi mech ones are oversized version of the MPM Megatron. Model wizard's Meg is the same mold but oversized, and it is said that Aoyi's version has a rework on the backpack, but i think we still dont know if thos is true.

 

So the SS version is supposed to be from Rotf (cybertronian tank) and MW/WJ & Ayoi is supposed be based on MPM and that Megatron is from ____?

The MPM oversized versions are from the first movie

 

Okay so, the WJ OS Megatron and this Megatron are OS KOs of the MPM 8 Megatron which is meant to represent Movie 1 Megatron.
The tank megatron from the studio series is the movie 2 megatron, and the BMB LS06 is an OS KO of that figure. There’s also a leader class studio series megatron that does not have an OS KO and is meant to be movie 3 megatron. There is an upcoming studio series movie 1 megatron coming next year I believe, where it has a much cleaner back than the mpm, but has much thicker legs as a result of kibble distribution. Hope that clears things up

 

Got these pictures from Lichlute’s Damaged LS-06 video. Definitely looks like the Black Mamba MPM 8 is being used for comparison. Hopefully we can expect a review from him soon. Also, Weijiang’s MPM 8 is about the same height as the LS-06
