You know I wouldn't mind Galvatron if they went all in like this year (3 84-85) bots. They would definitely redo Rodimus and probably need to do Magnus. Maybe something like Magnus/Galvatron/Arcee or replacing Magnus with Blaster or Grimlock as they were there alot in season 3.

 

I'm starting to think that 2020 will be like 2019, MP wise.
Very light for the first half of the year, and jam packed the second half of the year.

 

I'm kinda thinking it may be the opposite. Hound and Bumblebee are coming at the very end of the year here, and we might get another figure or two. Then back to non-G1 things :/

For MPMs; More like one or two reveals in Janurary and then it's back to stasis lock for the rest of the year since hasbro/takara too lazy to do more.

 

While they do have their market, I doubt MPMs rank high on Takara's must do list.

 

Aren't MPMs suppose to be it's own running line with no setbacks from G1s (which is all takaras thing)???

I thought it was co-branded by both companies unless hasbro's just in it for distribution.

Hasbro probably gets a better return with Studio Series and Takara market skews more high end. Why eould euther invest heavily in MPMs when the both most likely have more profitable options

I hope the MP-50 will be a very great character or a very great surprise from G1

 

It's funny cause as the years have gone by it seems the unpredictability of the MP line keeps growing. I appreciate any insider info that comes along, but there hasn't been much as of late unfortunately.   I really do think that we should hear something before years end. Plus the Generations 2020 book just got announced so maybe there is something on the horizon.

 

Because when Studio Series is over with; I would anticipate that line being the focal point since bay/knightverse is well loved and adored by many.

 

Between Starscream and Soundwave redo’s and repaints of Bee and Prime, they will be busy for quite some time.

I feel it’s going to be awhile before we see a new character.

I really want some Dinobots or Insecticons, but I don’t think TT gives 2 hoots about MPs of them.

Yeah, it came out a few days ago but no scans have been posted yet. Most likely because there was nothing newsworthy in there.

 

Im confident well get some news soon. Only concern is with a Sunstreaker reissue in May we may not see anything till June or July. Which sucks on the G1 side as Hound is December and Smokescreen + is January.

 

I wouldn't expect to see anything new until Wonderfest in Feb.

 

We've still got the Generations book, Tokyo Comic Con and 3 more Figure King magazines before then so I'm staying cautiously optimistic we'll see something before Wonderfest.

 

With Sunstreaker already on the schedule for May, it will be June at the earliest before MP-49 releases. We could see a reveal in November, but next summer is still a depressingly long way off.

 

They're all gonna be pricey from here out...at least by comparison. $125 for a Carbot might not be murder on the wallet, but considering that used to get you at least two Carbots or friggin' MP Magnus...I'll just stick with the overrated FT Galvatron I got for $125.

But I have no doubt TT's would/will smoke FT's. Won't be worth the $300 or so to me to find out first hand, though.
