I only have a KO to compare it to, but the reissue I received is superior in every way except one. The pieces that fold down against the legs do not lie flat against the leg like they do on my KO.

 

Where is everyone getting this from?

 

I got mine from Amazon Japan.

 

I cancelled my pre-order on AJ some time ago. I was hoping to see the shipping go to 1,200 (now, 1,600) Yen that we're used to but still showing the 4,800 Yen it was before even after release. Bummer.

 

I was hoping the shipping cost would drop too, but in the end it was still cheaper than anyone else stateside and it shipped in only two days.

 

Sorry to be a bother, but what are people getting for total shipped prices on the reissue from Amazon Japan? I have never ordered from the Japan site before?

 

Mine was $142 shipped. Soundwave was only $102, but for some reason it had an unusually high shipping rate of 39.99 shipping. Whereas you can order MP-47 for only $131.08 shipped ($116.40 + 14.68 shipping). Go figure.

 

Hey all FWIW, looks like AJ changed shipping back to 1,600 Yen on this. I just ordered and paid $120 shipped.

Those that did AJ like you, @MachoGrande , can send a note to AJ and likely get a credit for the difference.

The total price (including shipping) is almost always cheaper than any other online site. It has become my go-to for the MPs they sell. They ship fast and pack them well. I have been ordering from them going back to MP-22 or so. For a while it was hit or miss which MPs they would carry, but they have consistently had all of the main line MPs for the past two years or so. One drawback is they don't carry Asian market exclusives.

 

Anyone have a good shot of the head on this reissue? Just curious if it's like the og release or like the reissue from two years ago (darker translucent eyes with silver around them or vibrant more opaque eyes with blue around them).

 

Curious about this too, I liked the original release more.

Ah - thanks for the answer! I'm not a big fan of the blue on the face (though it was colored that way in the show on a handful of occasions), but I do love the vibrant red eyes.

 

How is the QC on your copy?

 

Mine is all good except for the leg panel that I mentioned above. There's excess flashing on the inside of the hinged piece that keeps it from lying flat in bot mode. You can see it here:



I don't know if it bothers me enough to file it down. It's not that noticeable, and it doesn't affect alt mode at all.

 

I contacted AJ and they issued a refund for the difference to my credit card. Thanks for the heads up!

 

Looks like he upgraded the hands. Not those spindly hands with the original.

 

No problem! Glad it worked out. I was pretty surprised my OCD worked to my advantage. I had just checked earlier that day and when I checked again before bed...boom...all fixed.
