dude i really wonder if certain batches of jabber have more of a blue color than the purple. In your photo he looks the blue that he should be. Does yours look purple in different lighting?

 

Ya it looks purple in some light. My phone's flash seemed to make it look more blue. Not sure.

 

transforming all of them must have taken you hours. glad to see your copy of Blurr doing fine  

 

It did. Luckily I was working from home while I did it lol. Blurr didn't survive though. Waiting on a replacement leg piece like a lot of people. Blaster didn't survive either, had a thumb and a shoulder breaker but also have replacement parts on the way.

 

Blurr and Wheelie are the only two tfs I would stand up, salute and clap till my hands fell off, if there was a scene with Galvatron blasting them to oblivion....But this looks like a good figure.

 

Same usual Fanstoys style over substance.

one leg swivel is stressed and one cracked after one careful transformation. Has the ankle tilt of an arthritic penguin and one side of the car isn't as easy to tab as the other.

Diecast, paint and sculpt mean nothing if you can't transform a transformers. Might as well bring on the action masters.

As usual though, a brilliant looking representation in both modes but that's where it ends

 

Wide angle. Gives it a bit of a fish eye look.

 

Am I happy with him; yes. Could the sculpt be better; no. Could the transformation be better; yes (TT would make it more intuitive). Is he a placeholder; nope. Do I wish they included a Usain Bolt smiling face; yup.

Overall he fits in with the movie line perfectly. How long would we have to wait for Takara to get to the movie line? We are still looking a V3 on the ark crew!!!

Emgo review up.

 

So I finally ordered one and am waiting on him to arrive (Thursday). Having dipped in and out of the thread, I can't say I'm that excited to be getting him any more, which is a shame as he was the only one of the movie characters I owned as a kid. He just finishes the Autobot movie display, so I guess he scratches an itch.

If Fanstoys could do their Scourge soon, that'd finish off Galvatron and his minions and I'd be pretty much done with that era, Masterpiece-wise. A few more G1 characters (FT minibots and the rest of Menasor) would leave me with very little to collect in TF terms. I'm actually quite excited by the idea I'm nearly at the end of the journey. My partner will be delirious when I can finally tell her I'm done

Did emgo find the holy grail of a non-breaking Jabber transformation? I would watch the vid myself but the NorCal fires have knocked out my power and cellular data is shit ... (obligatory fuck PG&E)

 

Emgo in his review videos only show the transformation process one way from alt to robot mode. We'll have to wait for his "Just Transform It" video to get the full picture.
