Finally watched Spider-Man: Far From Home today. It was... good? I'm not a big spider-fan but it seemed to hit a good balance between MCU and trad-Spidey. Didn't thrill me, but Mysterio was a compelling and original villain to use. MJ is adorable and I was literally 'awww'ing every time she and Peter were being cute together. Didn't think much of the JJJ twist, giggled at the Talos twist. My only gripe with that is that it's a massive tease considering there's nothing concrete about a Captain Marvel sequel yet.

Oh, this reminds me (though it's not aimed specifically at you): if there's anyone that has the Skywarp pack but isn't massively interested in the battlemasters, would they be interested instead in selling them on?

I agree, it was filmed in England (Pinewood Studios, I think) so I would guess they came from Tandy.

Good Lord! This semi-moan appears to have unstuck...something? I thought it was my TF Safari order as that's usually what generates a text alert but a quick 17Tracking later and doublechecking the tracking number it appears to be my pair o' embiggened Slashes from Sirtoys!
It just came thru as the same text "conversation" as they both pop through the RM's automated system and easily confused L'il ol' me!

Large, welcome back stranger, best French name ever? Mine is a dead heat between Bixente Lizarazu (who sounds or even makes you as the utteree sound drunk in annunciation. Is Bixente a common first name?) Marcel Marceau who is not only an amazing performer but contains in the speaking of his name a invocation to sleep in hypnotic rhythmic Ipcress file fashion. Top work

    CATTLESHIP.

OK! So I spent some time today sorting out who goes where in the card games volumes. Names in red are cards I've done already.

Volume 1 is 1984 (Arrival from Cybertron) and is obviously already done.
Volume 2 is 1985, all Autobots are done (as of today) and starting on the 'cons.
Volume 3 is leftover 1985 and 1986, primarily movie. Hot Rod/Blurr/Kup/Cyclonus and Scourge are omitted.
Volume 4 is 1986 Special Teams and a few filler 'bots.
Volume 5 is big boys and 1987 'Masters'. Blurr, Hot Rod, Kup, Cyclonus and Scourge are in the Masters year! Numbers add up too well to be a coincidink.
Volume 6 is the leftover 1987 guys, with a late Sky Lynx (save the best for last eh?) and PMOP sneaking in from '88 to make up numbers.

I reckon this is the best order to put them out in, my only concern is Volume 5 being filled with all the combiner bois (so many strength 10's!) may kill that volume's gameplay. But I think having all the Scramble City Combiner guys in one set is just too cool. Anyway assuming I crack on I reckon Vol 2 will be ready for orders in a couple of weeks!

    Top Trumps.jpg

Can't wait to get to some of my favourites like Flywheels. Speaking of favourites have a sneak preview of Slag from Volume 3... notice anything different?

    A85 Slag.jpg

That's right! I've colourised the relevant silver bits to toy coloured red! It's the little things. Excite. Creative juices are flowing again. I like this. twitter fools be damned. Oh speaking of twitter (because it's not all bad after all) have something I did after I saw a tweet from @incapable hulk.

    HEAVENS TO MURGATROYD!
OS Slashes In-Bound TODAY!?! Just put the Tracking Number in the RM Track n' Trace for shits n' giggles because of RM being the text msg source, and it not only works, it sez at the Local Depot for delivery this very day!!!
Also slightly reassured to find that the TF Safari & Uncle Billy parcels are also logged with RM and listed as leaving China - CROSS EVERYFING!!!

So, last week @MyTea Boc asked me what I thought the best techspec motto was. Well, I still don't know, but that doesn't mean the research time has been wasted.
Friends, I give you, while possibly not some of the best, some of the most striking examples. All from yer Euro G1.5.

    'ENJOY'.

Boss. The life and soul of the party. Always ready with a pithy quip or wry anecdote. Great with kids. Either that or an impossibly dour misery. I forget.

    Flash. Primary school level bullshitter.

Hurricane. A dynamic and somewhat demanding lover.

Scorch. Thick. Says things he thinks are clever but they don't really make much sense. Profoundly unpopular with his teammates.

And hey, if you liked those groovy good guys, check out these nutbags. Never has a cadre of Decepticons filled in their annual performance review with such witless duty.

Deftwing. Considers himself to be the most important member of the team. Anybody else could cover these low level admin tasks.

Fearswoop. Insufferable office 'funny guy'. Seems himself as a motivator with the team. Isn't.

Clench. Trying a little too hard to impress. Talks incessantly about his family, though no one ever sees pictures of them. Colleagues have expressed concerns that he may do a 'Michael Douglas in Falling Down' one day.

Calcar. Craves greater responsibility and recognition but with the current base level of incompetence meeting this desire comes with serious managerial risk. Keep on stock taking for the time being.

    and finally...

    "Attack! ATTACK!"

Wait, are all the Turbomaster bios promising that you can tilt their turbine guns up in the most euphemistically macho way, and is this actually the case with the toys? Or is it a damned lie? (I've never handled any of the Turbomasters myself.)

Welp, that's clearly your cast for The Office: Cybertron right there but with two "rival companies". Total :lolol  of a post, Mister B!

Can they get their dander up in vehicle mode? Nah, they're pretty fixed in. They're not shy of shooting their load though. AND HOW!
Cheers CH! These things are so high concept lolz that it pretty much writes itself. There's more good stuff in there. Whoever got the job of writing these must have been doing the whole lot on a Friday afternoon. They're not this shite by accident.

Welcome back is indeed the best french name ever, thank you very much. Much more than Bixente which is in fact basque (french people confused about their spanish nature due to the altitude) and means 1998.
Marcel Marceau is a famous internet mime.
A recent data research* however concludes that the most frenchy french word that has ever frenched is bisous, the total opposite of the least french word of all: Frexit, which is as dumb as it sounds.

    Seek.

You cannot tell me that your people are looking across the pond to watch the unfolding shitfit arse-extrusion that is Brexit and saying "Je pense que j'adore l'idee de Brexit"? Because you're supposed to be the ones with self-respect, dammit.

Oh you just don't want to minimize the amount of stupidity humanity can get, we got a good bunch of weirdos here.
But for the sake of illustration, can we admire how much much much stupid this is just by observing the fact that there are people who reclaim french sovereignty above all, you know french frenchers of the frenchier frenchest on this side of french france, with a word that isn't french at all (mind you it doesn't even make sense).
    So to sum up:
"We want french to be above all !"
    - ... By using a non french word as a rallying cry ?
    - ... Yes !"

The funniest part is nobody told them yet.

Anyway, to my bro Barry Mo': 5 years ago today:

Meanwhile Castlevania: Rondo of Blood was released 26 years ago today on the PC Engine Super CD. Can't wait to get the PC Engine mini to finally play this gem legally.

    HELL YEAH!

I remember feeling a queasy ambivalence about that issue when it came out. Now I look back at it as being one of the best issues of the run.

I've seen some people on the board using anime style effects parts in their photos - I was just wondering if anyone has found the most economical supplier of some of these (likely fake ones) as I see the prices vary enourmously.

So I thought i'd pop buy and ask here if it's something anyone is buying already and if they can share their suppliers ?
