Um........have you seen how tiny they are? If they put 1 in a deluxe box it would be like a Siege leader...............oh wait! Well, shit! You may have a point. This is Hasbro after all.  I guess it is pretty "special" to not get ripped off like we have with the new leader class.

So as of right now, what's the best (Bayverse) Bumblebee we've gotten so far? I want a nice figure for display.

I can't wait for Soundwave, he looks good. Its real nice that the triplets are coming in 1 package. Hotrod looks nice too.

 

$20 for a Legends class figure with Legends class paint and articulation.. count me in!

 

I fully expect them to milk it. HasTak will more than likely re-release this figure with some remoulding done here and there for Bumblebee’s ROTF and DOTM designs. I could even see them remolding it into his High Octane design from Age of Extinction.

And, as tired as I am of Bumblebee getting a plethora of toys, I’m okay with this. This new toy looks really good and is a significant improvement over the TLK Premier Edition mold.

 

It's probably the equivalent of getting three Siege Battlemaster figures for $20.

It's pretty crazy seeing Soundwave being a teeny dude (since Studio Series toys in robot mode follow a scale for the most part).



But then you realize: Soundwave turns into a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG while his cohorts are an F-22, a Mad Max trucker, and a giant alien tank. Of course he's going to turn out teenier than the others.

Damn.. was Soundwave that short in DOTM? I recalled him being like in between Bee and Ratchet in terms of height, not as tall as Jazz and Leadfoot.

 

This is one of those times where a size chart would be nice to check up on.

 

The official DOTM scale chart found on DVD (I guess?) is even worse - apparently Soundwave is supposed to be bigger than Barricade and the Dreads despite still turning into an SLS AMG! Note the blue-silver figure next to Starscream:

I mean, he should be that tall as the rest are quite large in my opinion especially Shockwave and Megatron

It's likely that none of these people with "early samples" have instructions so its all guesswork.

I could honestly see them using Dropkick to remold into High Octane Bee. He's pretty close already. Just leave the rear wheels on the legs instead of the arms.

 

That was back when hasbro thought kids would actually wanna buy super detailed and super complex collector-level figures. I'll bet that figure alone led to the downsizing and simplification of the dotm line.

They've hidden features before so I still have a bit of hope based on the fact that they seem to come with a couple extra pieces and the stands look way too complex for what they have to do. Just like you I'll be happy either way, but if they do combine, I hope they came up with something better than the weird-ass concept art. I always thought that if something with wheel feet combined with something with wheel feet then they should finally get a chance to have normal fucking feet or else what's the point?

I think the SS line has pretty much dropped any gimmicks in favor of screen accuracy. The battle masks that slid out of the head were never the right shape, even the MPM has this problem. It's supposed to be curved forward at the bottom which this new figure gets right. It's a bit of a bummer but not totally horrible since I'm sure I'll be able to switch the clunker bee head in when I want.

Unless they repaint the POTP mold some more...

Wow so it's confirmed that the Arcees come with extra parts! Looks like Arcee has a blaster (even though her other arm is a blaster?), and Chromia comes with a sword thingy. Could still be an indication of a combined mode...

Thanks for posting these since they definitely include pics we haven't seen before. Says a February 2020 release date but aren't they supposed to be out in December or January?
