I noticed that also. However i think a strong case could be made for a 3.5 foot bot to always have his feet squarely on the floor with his weight directly above.

clearly fort max should have defensive capabilities

FT could make the waist cannons slide in and out on each side... instead of flip out like on the G1 toy and the Titans Returns Legends Fort Max.

lol @ comparisons with exotic supercar brands. FT mostly makes regular 3P figures, not thousand-dollar high-end collectibles. There are collectibles brands out there that would make a more apt comparison with Ferrari. FT is not one of them.

I have a feeling this will end up being done at a more reasonable size that will generate the order volume necessary to get this produced, and that feeling is reinforced by seeing that it is mostly just a handful of newbies and people who don't actually buy 3P MP products that are pushing for it to be as big as possible, unlike the more seasoned MP collectors. dalianjj knows the product has to actually be marketable enough to make it a worthwhile endeavor so it will be interesting to see how the size turns out.

If it stays this large, the most likely outcomes are FT jumps the shark making it and cannot recover from the expenditure to produce it, or it just never gets made.
If it comes in somewhere in the 30" range, it'll still be the largest figure, significantly larger than combiners to make the point that citybots are in a different size class, and would be way more feasible for production, retail price, shipping, display, and stability. As a result, the order volume will make it significantly more viable.

Gee I wonder how much a figure twice the size of Unicron will cost made by a 3P, could it be over twice the price? I'd certainly say so.

Not even a fair comparison man. Exotic cars have always been made for not regular folks, period.

This is a toy. Anyone with a brain and common sense is able to save up and get it if they want. Space is the real issue here.

    Unlike, say, a Ferrari.

No licensing of any kind whatsoever. Can’t compare the costs of making an official figure vs an unlicensed one.

No, I don’t mean that one has to pay a license to make a planet toy, it is simply the costs related to an official TF toy. Hasbro is an actual traded company, with employed that are offered healthcare, 401K’s, etc.

This is not a diss at FT. It’s just what it is.

The cost of that is massively outweighed by the smaller production runs and independent financing that 3Ps have to deal with, which is what keeps their voyagers at $100 each.

Well this is an exotic toy. It's as easy as that. If we are always talking about the lowest common denominator then yeah why have a distinction between an exotic car and a car? They are all cars. What's next? Why is MP-44 450? It's a toy. Amazon JP has it for 350? Tough, it's a toy.

Couldn`t agree more. there seems to be a bit of entitlement going on in this fandom. Like everything in life you can`t always have what you might want. I'll use Ford for this example. Ford make a large range of cars that fit a lot of different price points each model is different. I would love to own a Ford GT but its nor piratical for my needs and out of my price range so I bought a Ford Ranger knowing I will never own a Ford GT. That just how life is, Fan Toys has made a lot of figures at different and not all of them suit everyone. if Fans Toys do make this and someone feels its too large or cost to much then buy the figure that fits your needs.

Claiming this is just a toy that everyone should be able to afford is arbitrary and lacks any tangible support. It’s an exotic toy just as Ferrari is an exotic car; the fact that exotic cars have been around longer doesn’t mean exotic toys don’t exist. Your reasoning is arbitrary and lacks consistency required in coming to a logical conclusion.

this isn’t made for everyone to afford, it’s made for people who want it enough to spend their money on, whether they can afford it, save up for it or buy it on credit.

Is Cerebros going to scale with weird wolf and mindwipe?

From the scale image that head looks big and that is before it’s unfolded

Looks like a couple people here are tilting at windmills, so to speak. Hardly any of the concern expressed in this thread has been about price, yet we see people now battling imaginary arguments of entitlement and affordability. Rather, people have been concerned with size and displayability. They have no problem purchasing expensive figures, they're the people who actually collect MPs. They also are more aware of the requirements to effectively display something so large and how it would be equally or even more effectively displayed at a slightly smaller size. Funny how it's often the same couple posters with the bad arguments and non sequiturs in every thread.

He wobbles a bit, but it’s due to the mechanics in his hips, and you have to really push him to topple him. The actual connection system is rock solid in both the arms and legs. So yes, he is as stable as Jabber is blue.
