I left the forum for one week and all this pops up. Really hoping the gold bots and replacing Lost Bots like everyone said. I haven't even started collecting for series 3 yet. At least I have all the Lawn League and Bakery Bytes.

Our Friends in Asia on the online portals are asleep at the wheel a bit on Transformers Exclusives it seems.
Otherwise they'd be Lawn League sets all over eBay and Aliexpress. They were barely more awake in their flipping for cash for Siege Ratchet either. I don't exactly trust Amazon enough to have them be something i'd want to rely upon.

If they change up the whatever is in the Bubble each year i'm OK with that. I wonder if the bubbles on the multi-packs will be one of the colours of the capsules or if they will be something thematic to Golden Bots and actually use a gold Bubble on the packet ?

Transformers is a strange beast as unlike Star Wars which really doesn't have much of an excuse to flood the shelves with Gold Repaints, Transformers at least has a Historical story point reason to have characters in golden effect. Which this is just drawing on.

Oh and don't forget the line drawning that has "2-Modes" on it seems to show some sort of Bakery Bite/Sugar Shock or Greaser Gang that is some sort of Pastry - it could be a savory pastie or it could be some sort of Jam filled pie or apple pie.

Oh thing to note with amusement is that even Hasbro don't seem to realise that the Transformation of the Popcorn mould was engineered to have the head tilt back to reveal the face -and they seemed to have missed that with the 1st version of the mould, and so on the Golden one they painted the entire face on their mouth area instead.

Yeah, I really don't get why those aren't all over eBay. I check for them like twice a day and nada.

I'd pay good money for the pack with Mucker Von Diggs, the Pollinator, and Grass Guzzler in the blind bubble.

    Hint hint. Anybody? Please?

Even here in China there was only one person selling them from Honk Kong and they have since unlisted it from taobao. From what I understand there's a bunch in Taiwan and they're relatively cheap so someone over there should think of the opportunity to gouge desperate botbots collectors :p

Aren’t the 8-packs still listed on the TRU Hong Kong website? That’s how I got mine, and just used a mail forwarding service (Tiptrans) to ship them to the U.K.

It was dead easy - if I’d’ve know how desirable they were, I would have bought a load of extras and stuck them on eBay myself!

Did you get stung for an astronomical customs charger with Tiptrans ?

If they shipped outside of HK, I'd order a half dozen of them, just to make shipping worthwhile.

I think that might be the Calzone/Empanada what ever pocket food. And I'm praying my eyes are playing tricks on me, but that light blue one looks like another flippin Professor Wellread redeco. At the very least it seems to split down the middle for transformation.

I've never used a mail forwarding service (I honestly never knew there WAS such a thing available cross-country). I looked at their website FAQ, but I'm still rather confused, so forgive me if these questions are blatantly obvious. Do I just sign up, fill in my address, and then when I check out with TRU Hong Kong and tell them to ship to that address? How does this process work?

Translucent yellow and green BotBots would look so pretty. If they were easy to get, I might buy a few.

Skipping the Gold Rush Games packs. This looks like the Arcade Renegades debacle on a larger scale.

It just occurred to me, but I think that the Gold Rush BotBots are meant to be a tie-in for the 2020 Olympics.

I need the rabbit/hat and owl/3D glasses badly.

If you happen to do this, I’d buy a Mucker Von Diggs/Pollinator pack if you get an extra!

    Yeah, essentially.

I signed up with Tiptrans, and they gave me the address of their Hong Kong warehouse with a personalised PO Box number which identified with my account.

I then bought the BotBots, but on the TRU website I put the address that Tiptrans gave me as the delivery address.

When the package arrived at the Tiptrans warehouse, they sent me a photo of the box, just to prove they’d received it okay, then forwarded it to the U.K. with a tracking number.

I ordered the BotBots on 27th August and they arrived in the U.K. on the 6th September.

I'm really happy they're doing more animal themed bots. One of my early ideas for future themes was a pet store but they've exceeded my expectations with the 3D glasses owl if the art is anything to go by (please don't have a Venus Frogtrap situation.)

it would be my luck to put an order of multiples and get only the one of the two that I didn't want

doesn't look like tiptrans serves the USA though? Free account is asking for local international real address?

there are options to ship to USA though, what I don't get is why they ask for a real address in HK, UK, etc...

149.90 HKD is about 20 USD, so if you play the odds with min 2 ordered it would be like 40 plus min 14 shipping plus whatever fees they add on

that would be like 50-60 USD for just two packs with no guarantee which ones you get...

I mean it's certainly tempting but returns would probably be a nightmare if even allowed...

I'm going to wait out Amazon till the end of the year to see what happens probably...

Friend from Asia here, Apparently most of us are sleeping on it as the exclusives aren't listed at ToysRus online page.

We know they're available in store and shelf-warming at best, each TrU would have a case of 20- Lawn Leagues each. We need to make a run to multiple stores shop to get em, which is a hassle - considering we need to double check in case the bot in blind pack weren't stolen. And.. the exclusive pack cost a lot for us here 99.99 MYR (a week worth of lunch money for us), costs more than a Siege deluxe fig.

PS: a few page back isnt there a rumor the lawn leagues are gonna be Amazon US exclusive?

that's the rumor, which I'm willing to believe now that the Bakery Bytes are available from them

if they weren't then I would be more likely to panic

Ditto! :)  The ideal way to handle it would be if we had a member on the ground in HK, just have one dude buy a gazillion of 'em, ship to one receiver on the US West Coast, then have that person break down the big box and ship out to everybody, splitting the international shipping across all the packs. (E.g., two dozen packs, the tab gets split so everybody reimburses for however many twenty-fourths their share is.)
