Is that Hector Ramirez? If only there was a smaller version that could scale properly with MPs size.

Yeah I expect, or hope rather, it will be in parts. That being said, I can't imagine it will be any more than six. Head, Torso, Arm, Arm, Leg, Leg. Honestly though, I expect it to be more like Head, Torso, Limbs or even just Head and Body.

Your point of sturdiness was something that crossed my mind way back when Bobby Skullface first proposed the idea of MP citybots. I mean, I get the desire for it in terms of spreading the costs out and the shipping fees. But realistically, how do you separate pieces and then expect them to be combine by the consumer and still maintain good stability? I mean I hope I'm wrong but it just seems difficult.

To be fair etailers do this all the time where they just throw up a preorder with nothing else to go on other than "Weeeeeeeeeee're gonna do this, here's a render!"

I think that's part of the problem, they clearly haven't given this a thought beyond "BIG BOI" but no one has the space or the money, sure this is the first time anyone's tried something like this, but no one else has tried because this is really, really dumb.

It would have the potential to be as much or more sturdy. Not having to make something all one piece means each portion can be optimized and the connection points chosen to be places that are not critical load-bearing failure points. Connect them together in a secure manner and voila. Remember, they designed FT-20 to be separate pieces that connect together. They already know how to do this and hopefully also learned some important lessons on stress, joints, and weight from that experience plus the combiners they have in the works.

Is this all just to distract us from the fact that there's no news on Accoustic Wave?

Seriously though there is no need to go over 34-36 inches... All they need to do is figure out how to get Cerebros from his hero sized robot to a compact head...
FT are the princes of mass-shifting!

    That too.
For sure it'll take a lot more assembly than what current MP combiners provide. Some major assembly required here.

this might be the most ambitious 3P
they 100% have designs for the main headmasters on dalianjj’s hard drive. maketoys should dig their designs out of the trash and put them out before it’s too late (if it isn’t already).

No. It's literally been 3 months since that was re-announced.

Once FT reveals those HM, lots of folks will jump ship from MT in favor of FT. At that point it will tough for MT to regain interest.

It should. 2 detolfs are 32 inches wide. He's not near as wide as he is tall

Here's a digibash. Gotta say, colors do a lot for this guy. He looks very impressive, but alas, he will not be joining the rest of my collection.

Wait. The narrative was that ft 20 was as stable as Jabber was blue. Or did that change?

What'd you change from Yeled's post two pages ago?
Btw, FT-20 should be a little smaller there.

My FT-20 has been perfectly stable. My Jabber is dark blue with purple hued metallic in it.

A few people found FT-20 could sway a bit when the legs are positioned a certain way, but does not tip over without extra force applied. Everyone's Jabber is dark blue with purple hued metallic in it. The two claims are not equitable. Nothing has changed.

Did TFSOURCE just start charging shipping? I've been using them for years but when I clicked ship my stack this week I got charged for shipping on Jabber but not on the other items. That's the first I ever paid shipping since my orders are always over the $150. If they are charging for all shipping now I won't be using them anymore

I didnt mean to say shipping. I meant to say taxes. I was charged taxes on Jabber but not the other items that were shipped in my stack. Been a long day sorry

This is quite the endeavor. I'm interested. The design team at Hastak said that Unicron wasn't a full meter tall like they wanted because the plastic couldn't support the weight. Be interesting to see what FT has up their sleeves.

The good news for me is that my almost five year-old is exactly as tall as this is expected to be. I'll put an Autobot necklace on him and stand him on the nightstand, tv stand and other places to get an idea of how this will look.

I didn't pay for taxes on my jabber from tfsource just the $11 shipping but I do believe certain states are charging taxes on online orders now like California
