I find it a mixed bag as a whole. I've wanted a NY based Transformers cast for as long as I could remember.

    The best voices:

    Jeremy Levy
    Marc Thompson
    Billy Bob Thompson
    Ryan Andes

these guys here are definitely the best VA's in the show, Marc being the most experienced really helps, his brother Billy Bob is also just as talented. Jeremy and Ryan, finding these guys they struck gold.

The biggest issue with the cast as a whole, a lot of voices are too samey or feel like they found them on the street. Seriously did Hot Rod, Blurr and Cheetor all need similar high pitch young male voices? Not really.

The episode with Blurr and Hot Rod was good but their voices were too similar and it was a bit annoying.

I saw that. It’s him doing an impression of Cullen imo weaker performances over the last years. He was hired because he could do that impression. And he’s directed to work within that impression. He’s not actually being allowed to work with the role. Just do an impression of another voice actor when he was told to do the character in a flat fashion.

There's no doubt that he was hired because of that impression but we don't know anything about how he's being directed. For all we know we he may have been given total freedom in the directing and still performed the character this way.

There's been a bit of talk here about Cheetor being an example of poor voice acting, but I can't help but love how he talks. The naivety combined with the awkward dialogue just makes him so endearing to me, and I wouldn't have it any other way. He's really grown on me.

It's perfect for that version, though you can't really beat Ian Corlett's classic rendition....well for me at least.

The New Cheetor kind of reminds me of Todd Haberkorn a bit which is cool.

I know how you feel, It ruins scenes, like in "Parly" The maccadam scene was ruined. He should just stop trying to sound like peter Cullen. Make it original kinda like how David Kaye did for animated.

I'm fine with Cheetor FUNDAMENTALLY. Sounds all good, I think he is supposed to be all innocent and stuff but TJ Nelson just needs better directing.

Here is my best and worst actors, all in order

    Best:
    Worst:
Optimus Prime (voiced by Jake Tillman)
Shadow Striker (voiced by Deanna McGovern)
    Clobber (voiced by Saskia Marx)
    Lockdown (voiced by Mike Rose)
Hot Rod (voiced by Travis Artz)

Disagree with them being the worst, i think they're among the better voices in the show. I like Deanna's Shadow Striker, reminds me a lot of Diana Kaarina's voice (plus it helps this is the first time the character has had a voice so i think this raspy light voice works).

and Billy Bob I'd actually say he does Starscream better than Wheeljack, though his Wheeljack grew on me a lot.

I'd actually put Thundercracker way lower, his voice is really generic.

One voice I don't like is Todd Perlmutter's Ratchet....it's like they're doing Corey Burton's Ratchet but lack the age and it just comes off more like a Wheeljack voice, They should've cast Mike Pollock (Dr. Eggman) as him if anything, he was always my number one pick for a NY Ratchet VA and yet they didn't go with him. Mike's involvement would've helped with the show I feel the same way Marc Thompson does.

Cheetor is definitely MEANT to sound off and weird, the writers already said he's supposed to be a little elf-like, some kind of kooky naive mystical being.

But his voice is still crap, the actor really messes up intonation on lines regularly.

That's just my shit lord opinion ;)
I like the generic voice, I was just feeling it.
For Billybob's Starscream, grown on me a lot, changed my list he is in the good category.
    Not changing on striker though.

I actually get a strong Wheelie vibe from Cheetor, without the Rhyming.

I honestly think this show could win an award for the worst voice acting and dialogue in a kids show

Nah. The characters in Cyberverse atleast have moments where they talk like real people. You want bad dialogue writing you should look at Transformers "Bad Writers Think Thesaurus Makes Characters Sound Intelligent" Prime.

Conversely, I feel like flat acting has affected good dialogue much more often. Optimus and Megatron's exchange in S1E6, THE START OF THE WAR, was well written but inconsistent from both sides.

Eh, I mean not all the characters have bad voice acting, but I mean you can’t say there is nothing wrong with the voice acting. Specifically, Cheetor is positively abysmal. Clobber and Lockdown sound like two henchmen idiots (which they kinda are), but poorly acted henchmen idiots. Starscream’s screechy voice makes me almost want to take off my headphones (but I can’t because I don’t want my roommate to see that I’m watching little child cartoons). Not to mention Optimus Prime’s “I’ve only heard the opening and closing speeches of the Bay movies” voice.

I want to go off about how this show is the worst thing ever, but for some reason a ton of other people seem to really like it, which is really making me second guess my own opinion. It’s definitely not for me, but I’m just gonna keep watching it solely because I’m curious and there are no other transformers shows at the moment. I do hope this show does not last very long, though.

I kinda wish Mike Sinterniklaas voice directed Cyberverse, hell even Lisa Ortiz or Darren Dunstan could've worked too.

Though at the same time, we should be thankful Tom Wayland wasn't hired to voice directed Cyberverse. *shudders*

As much as I'm loving the new show, something always irked me with the acting/script/pace and I finally realised what it is:
I know it isn't, but it sounds like it's dubbed and intended/animated for another language.

Not even the worst voice acted Transformers series.

You have never seen the Headmasters/Masterforce/Victory dubs nor Cyber Missions or the Tatakai video game.

This is slightly above the Prime Wars stuff, at least since I can't imagine they're only doing 1 take.

Most of it is bad, but some preformances are good, such as Wheeljack, grimlock or soundwave.
But the worst offenders consist of:
    Optimus Prime
    Slipstream
    Cheetor
    Thundercracker
    Shockwave
    Hotrod
