This is the set I used for that photo shoot. TFSource is sold out of the Autobot background. But you may be able to find it from some etailer.

 

Nice to finally have my G1 Dirge complete so I can get him beside his big brother. Now I just need to get G1 Ramjet and Thrust. And some Reprolabels for Dirge now that I know where those damn waist decals are supposed to go!

For this one pic I’ll do the Conehead thing on the G1, but damn does it look stupid.

 

Wielding Titans

 

No fancy pics here, just rando shots of my current collection status while I soak in the greatness of this line and wait for Bumblebee, Hound, and Smokescreen+. Official MPs of G1 cartoon characters only, of course. Went for peace-time situations/poses on my main shelves, trying to use gimmicks and accessories where possible and incorporating a few alt modes, too. I put up some lights for Halloween in my office but I think I'm gonna leave these purple ones - they perfectly compliment the figures!

 

Fantastic display. Everyone has something to do. And I know it's been said before, but those shelves look great for Masterpiece figures

 

When ironhide displays the triceratops’ skull on his chest is basically my entire childhood. I can play that episode in my head almost flawlessly. Crap I can hear the menacing music that was unique to the episode right now. And Huffer. What a snide shit! Hahaha

also how did you get 44’s stand to support prime? Both of mine won’t lock in even a little. Seems like a design flaw instead of QC, so I’m surprised to see yours working.

Ah yeah, man, I LOVE Dinobots SOS! I feel like I'm in 1st grade all over again every time I watch it! LOVE MP Ironhide's nod to that scene!

I have two 44's and one's stand holds a little better than the other's but even then it's not great. There's an easy looking fix for it in the MP-44 fix thread but I just need to set aside 20 min to do it (just taking it apart and cutting away flashing on both the lock piece and gear). If you look at my shot, though, you'll see Optimus' foot is resting on the stand for extra insurance

Great set of pictures Dean. Seeing Ratbat, I keep forgetting I can put him with my S3 characters. time to make some adjustments when I get home.

Thanks, brother! And yes, Ratbat works for Movie/s3/Headmasters, but he needs Galvatron and friends to keep him company! Love hearing you're inspired to tweak your display because it also inspired me tweak my display! I adjusted Inferno so that he's looking at one of his arm communicators. Almost forgot about those and feel good about having another gimmick/accessory on display in the collection! I usually have these guys in all out war poses/scenarios, but it looks and feels just as awesome showing them all living their best lives  

 

The stand is one of the things I was most excited about when it was revealed so I'll definitely get around to that fix!
