Very clever stuff. Not for me but I'm all about them pushing the envelope when that design nous inevitably bleeds into the stuff I'm interested in.

 

i'm not gonna judge the neck gap until we get in hand pictures. it could just be mistransformed, could just be how it is. im fine with waiting to find out.

 

I want it to be perfectly clear: I am only complaining about the collapsing tires. I am not complaining about the weird shoulder cannon armature, nor the floating neck gimmick. I am also not saying that the (in my opinion) 'bad' design for the rear tires will stop me from enjoying this figure. This _will_ be my Hound, rather by official means (unlikely) or the KO route (more than likely). I choose this mold. Once I have him in hand he won't stay in alt mode for very long. I'll transform him to bot mode and then into the display case he goes.  

 

Man I just don't like that articulated arm for the rocket launcher. Couldn't it just peg back there? The last three Masterpieces (Prime, V2 BB and Hound) have had some weird choices made in their design that are definitely not what I like in a Masterpiece. Seems like after Megatron they have taken a dramatic turn away from what I personally liked about Masterpieces :/

Yeah I agree. In hand pics are way more telling of a product.

I just think bad is a bit vague. Especially when you don’t own a figure.

I guess you just like having it off? The articulated one adds more range and less chance of you losing it, which is pretty good in my eyes.

 

Does anyone know when in December this will hit stores. This is going to make a nice Christmas present to myself.

Could be that this is mistransformed but it looks clunky and ugly to me. Same with Prime's backpack and BBv2s feet and chest. Just not for me is all, buy what makes you happy

whether or not you're buying a knockoff of mp-47, i don't think insulting people over their preferences in plastic robot men is very relevant to this topic? there's plenty to discuss about the figure.

Yeah. Me. They kinda missed the mark designing the face sculpt imo. Eyes are too small and face too long.

 

Ha ha ha, yes. Didn't think about Hasbro Pulse, but just looked and you had to pre-order in June. It won't be available to ship till 12/26. WTF?!

 

It has been postponed from September to December..possibily because Takaratomy wants to fix any QC issues on the figure.

Also, while it's more understandable with 3P "original" products, that can be viewed as a parallel market, the KOs directly damage the market of the company, and while I understand that people has budget, I don't think it's right to say "I can't afford it, so I'm gonna purchase the cheap version once released".
On the long term, this state of mind can only damage the IP owners, and therefore the brand.

Sometimes TF fandom sounds like they're actually willing for the brand to close.

 

Starting to wonder what the deal is with G1 MP face/headsculpts because "the eyes look too squinty" and "the face/head looks a bit too long" seem to be weirdly consistent issues with the MP line in its current direction. Granted I think Hound looks fine and I'm sure whatever new facesculpt the toy-based Plus version gets will be more to my personal tastes, but it's just interesting to me that those two sticking points have happened enough times across different dudes to stick out to me.
