@Prime135 Well, we had Takara at a Tokyo Car Show and supposedly going to a model train show.

There's something called The Raiden Project being revealed at some point.

Hasbro is showing at a Con in Paris.

TT is releasing their MPM Jazz on Nov. 1st

Still no word on what the next new G1 MP will be.

Agreed. That would be a really fun way to kick off that whole era of new toys. Raiden is pretty special to a lot of people.

This Raiden project... I just don't think it's going to be what people are hoping/expecting it to be. For one thing, Takara's press release about it made it sound to me like the trains are going to be licensed by the train companies. Doing the unveiling at a train show only makes that more likely. So retools of existing CW/UW molds seems improbable.

Then there's brand unification. Correct me if I'm wrong, but every Transformer made since brand unification started has been offered by both companies in both markets, yes? The Seacons were a Takara project, but Hasbro is importing them. So if this new Raiden is a Transformer, and released under the Selects banner, it stands to reason that Hasbro would import it. Except... they're licensed (theoretically). So Hasbro would have to get license contracts signed for trains that aren't around in America. Also... they're trains. Been a long time since Hasbro tried to sell train Transformers to Americans.

It's more plausible to me that this Raiden is a standalone project, or will be marketed as part of Diaclone Reboot. Someone suggested they could be motorized for use with model train sets, and I love this idea, but it's another strike against Hasbro touching these figures.

I don't have a dog in the fight, I'm not in favor of one scenario over the other, I just find it unlikely this new Raiden will be marketed as a Transformer. And if it is, people aren't going to get any help from Hasbro importing it.

Looks like Earthwise and Cyberverse for Comic con Paris. There is a Hasbro Masterpiece display at Asia Comic Con but its just Hound and blackarachnia on display.

I need news, sold off my coneheads esrlier and will probably part with somemore stuff next week. One of them is Magnus as I think they will do a 2.0 in the future. Where as he was fine before with MP44, I could see their desire to fo a new one. To me anyway he just doesnt fit with what they're doing now, scult or articulation wise. He would be a left field MP50 release ;) .
Curious to see how they work the scale sith the minibots with the smaller bee. 3rd party scale is all over the place with the minis. Huffer is almost as big as big Willy.

I expect will see minibots proportioned more like this insert scaling with mp45, dont know what's boing on with pipes though.

Really really hope they aren't proportioned like this. Beachcomber and Hubcap towering over Pipes, Huffer and Swerve? Madness!

It's nice to see all of them there, of course. Dunno if we should read anything into it, but it's an interesting thing to include, for sure.

Edited as I just noticed Gears is missing! WHERE'S GEARS?!

Haha I didnt realize it till later alot of the bot mode scales are off, but my focus was the altmodes. But yeah Beachcomber,Outback, Seaspray, and Hubcap are a bit to tall in bot mode.
Still looking at the actual 3P ones Gears is probably okay in alt mode, hes about the size of mp21 which means CJ/Windcharger are too big in comparison to 45. Then you have Gears who inturn is tiny compared to the 3P Huffer sand nd Brawn. Im hoping they keep scale consistent where the the smaller minis scale with 45 and the larger ones more or less about the size of 21.

Id like to see all of them too, a lot of those in the inserts are remolds of each other, but how many we get is always in question. But if popularity is the key I have no doubt some of the season 2 minis out rank some of the season 1 minis and probably have a better chance of getting made. Ive always seen Warpath and Powerglide as popular G1 characters, probably why they were some of the first ones 3P made.

Just reading up after a while, and a few pages ago (Before the speculation that a new MP was going to be shown at the Tokyo event), I noticed that the redos that people wanted the most were:
    Starscream 3.0
    Sideswipe 2.0
    Van 2.0
    Ultra Magnus 2.0
    Rodimus/ Hot Rod 2.0
    Soundwave 2.0

I know for sure why people would want Starscream, and Sideswipe, I also kinda understand Magnus and Rodimus, but I'm really confused about Soundwave and the Van Mould. IMO, a Soundwave + would be adequate, because I understand that People want soundwave to have more accurate colours, but I have no idea why people would want a Van 2.0. Is it the hip skirts? Or is it the butt wheels? I don't think those are major problems, but for those who want a 2.0 Van mould, what would be your reasoning?

A Soundwave 2.0 would be as different from MP-13 Soundwave as MP-44 Optimus is from MP-10 Optimus, but a new MP vanette would mostly be about the extra articulation (deep thigh, knee, and elbow bends, an ab crunch, forward shoulder articulation), obviously losing the hip kibble, but just as importantly for me would be losing the bumper in bot mode. Other than the hip pieces and front bumper, the vans *look* like they belong with the current crop of G1 MPs. I'm ok if we never get new vans, but Starscream (& bros), Soundwave & cassettes, Grimlock, and Rodimus Prime are musts for re-dos in my book.

Totally agree. I really loved Grimlock. I sold him because he’s not in scale. Close, but not quite. And now I’d rather see a little more toony. The van bros look great, but lack the articulation. I’m ok if the lambos don’t get redone anytime soon. I love them. The seekers are in the most need for a redo and I’m only holding on to Starscream because he’s Starscream. But I really want to see some new guys. I want some mini bots. Mostly Brawn and Cliffjumper

I think they'll stick with the vans gor a while Ironhide is on the back of Hounds box. I'd imagine if they fo redo it would be a lot of what @Dean ML said plus some functioning car doors and hatchback at the rate they are going. I also wonder would the front of their chest be like the Fusos , swappable; windshield wipers, no windshield wipers, and maybe a battle damage cracked glass.

Im more interested in Soundwave 2.0 and new cassettes,I could care less if they fudge
tape thickness, if it gives us a proper ravage,rumble/frenzy this time. I think they were too small before.

Yeah, I've yet to sell my Grimlock but he's in dino mode 99% of the time on my Movie/s3 shelf with Hot Rod and Ultra Magnus. He wasn't drawn enormous in his latter day appearances, unlike s1 and 2 where he sometimes towered over Optimus.

You may well be right about a hypothetical new van mold being more functional like the rest of the newer Autobot alts and I like your idea about chest swap options. However, I don't think appearances on other MP box art bears much weight. MP-21 Bumblebee was in a Bluestreak+ promo shot, og Sideswipe is sometimes used over Sideswipe+, and I believe MP-10 was still making appearances even after MP-44 was first teased in Feb of '18.
