tbh, the funny with the Constructicons is that you only need the following companies to license from:
Mack Trucks
Komatsu Ltd
Kobelco
Volvo
Caterpillar (who currently owns the production rights of Scavenger/Demolishor's vehicle mode)

I get why they didn't, but it's funny that for eight guys four share the same company now.

So glad my SS Mixmaster will be part of Devastator, that robot mode is crap. I’ll use my ROTF Mixmaster as the stand alone alongside his other movie mates.

 

Holy cats. The bike sisters are in dire need of silver paint.

 

Besides the mistransformed bits, the Studio Series seems superior to me, as my ROTF has become old/worn down over the years, plus one of the shields broke on mine years ago, the SS will be a fine replacement for a Mixmaster on the movie shelf

 

Looks like they finally got someone able to take darn good pics for their figures

 

Comparing to the concept art there, I notice the toy is slightly mistransformed. He's got those "flippers" that stick out under his armpits, but the toy photo has them swivelled downwards over his stomach, rather than pointed out to the side.

Hope the arms have enough range of motion to arch more like the design art. They look terrible with all the struts at perfect 90 degree angles to each other.

 

Love Soundwave and the bike sisters molds but all of them could seriously use some paint... Arcee especially would look so much nicer with the black and pink deco her ROTF deluxe toy had. The grey is just... Ugh...

 

The BB movie Bee to me still stands as the best SS Bee figure overall

 

The Arcee sisters have no business looking that good.

I think they just gave up when it came to posing mixmaster.
Posing guy: Ah fuck it, everyone is gonna buy this for devastator anyways...

Regardless, if it wasn’t for the fact that his arms were transformed and posed in the shape of the letter H, he’d look a lot better. I think ROTF Mixmaster still holds up in terms of aesthetics, but the simplicity of the new SS one will greatly help in terms of playability. Plus he’s the head of devastator, so anyone who’s invested in the team would be getting him regardless of how he looks in promo pictures.

On a different note, bumblebee reminds me of barricade where he looks like a mini MPM, which I really dig. I don’t own many bees, so he’s on my personal radar (then again, I’ve been looking forward to a concept Camaro bee since I started collecting the line in the first place). But I really think that 2007 Megatron steals the show for me. He just looks better every time I see him, and the initial gripes I had with him seemed to have dialed way down for me. There’s really a lot to love about this guy. Here’s to hoping he’s solid in hand!

Am I the only one who thinks Mixmasters robot mode sucks compared to his previous voyager figure? It literally looks like sticks he has no bulk whatsoever.

the megatron and mixmaster figures are SOOOOOO BAD sad that megatron gets silver paint but not the Arcees

the original mixmaster is SOOOO much better at least that had color and looked good what a downgrade

 

I find it hard to take the original Mixmaster seriously with it's bunk proportions, gummy head, and terrible brown and wine colour scheme. It's like you rolled Incinerator in a tumbledryer filled with sand.
Also yadda yadda "it's accurate to the films"

I agree. I've been buying doubles of all the constructicons so far. It is possible i won't bother with him. We'll see. (of course the original was quite finicky and didn't photograph well either and I quite like him. So we'll see.)

 

Megs and the Arcee’s look good! I kinda wish I’d known that Bee was coming, but I do prefer the face over the mask so I’m content with the 70s Camaro original.
