Pretty much. But according to a lot of Geewunners, G1 has always gotten the short end of the stick.

So, @Unicron the Chaos Bringer suggested here that Devy's torso may be completely backwards! Tonton's Scavenger review uses a different configuration and Overload seems to have a waist joint in his torso.

I hope he's right, because the current pics have ruined a lot of first impressions and it's a shame.

 

It has been irritating since day 1.

 

It would make sense because it looks nothing like the chest that the CGI image had.

On another note, maybe ToyWorld is teasing all these figures because they know Hasbro isn't going to reveal anything.

A comparison between G1 Optimus Prime and Studio Series Bumblebee movie Optimus Prime. You wouldn't be complaining about partsforming if you handled any G1 Transformers like the original fanbase has and like I have. I've seen plenty of G1 Transformers that were incomplete in the collection owned by a cousin who grew up with G1 including a G1 Skywarp that was missing everything but the core figure. As Emgo316 said in his G1 Starscream review, "fans are spoiled rotten and still complain."

Everyone's complaining now and then tomorrow or a week later you'll all be singing Hasbro's praises again when they're ready to show something. We're waiting on what, half a dozen figures to even come out? Savor those, enjoy the ones you have. Catch up with the line and let the new figures come out before bitching we aren't getting reveals. Patience is rewarding.

 

You mean Scavenger should make the abdomen? That would have the vortex grinder end up in Devi's abs. Right now it's on his back where it should be. Another reason is mixmaster. He fits nicely in this configuration and I doubt they sort of just balanced him on top.

Oooor did you mean only overload is inverted 180? That might be more likely

 

I was saying along with UnicronTCB that Devy's waist should turn around making the arms end up on the correct sides and that Scavenger probably won't have the grinder, while Mixmaster will end up lower in the torso. Overload would stay generally the same on Devy's back. But that's just going off Tonton's review. I could be very wrong.

Honestly at first glance I thought it was another one of those TonTon Instagram feature posts lol.

Devastator potentially having some waist rotation genuinely blows my mind. I’m not going to expect it in the likely event that it’s not a thing, but if they truly managed to pull off a combined mode waist swivel then that would be legitimately impressive.

He really is great! Imo he’s worth the full price of admission, so any sort of a discount would be a steal if you ask me. Considering how Black Friday/Cyber Monday is around the corner, you might be able to find him for a good price then.  

 

I got super lucky. Toys R Us (Canada) was having a 25% off Transformers sale, which doesn't usually include higher priced items, but this one did. And you could top that with a 10% off by signing up to be an R Club member. So I got him for $80 and change (Canadian).
