It is physically painful to see Bumblebee taller than Soundwave.

 

I still stand by opinion of Soundwave needing more paint. Like I really can't believe they didn't paint Laserbeak.

I still really like Arcee though even considering I believe they'd benefit from more paint also

 

Eyeballing the picture of Shockwave, Mixmaster, and Soundwave, I think Mixmaster will be a very short Voyager, or at least smaller than the already small ROTF Voyager figure.

Let's say for the sake of the argument Shockwave and ROTF Megatron have the same exact proportions. Since we know Megatron was about 20cm tall, and that Mixmaster roughly reaches the tip of Shockwave's pelvis in the above picture I made this chart to show how big he'l roughly be:

(1 line = 1cm) - Mixmaster will approximately be 13cm or the same height as SS Bonecrusher.

Disclaimer - my analysis is 100% speculation with no mathematical basis. I'm just a bored kid waiting to see SS Sentinel be revealed  

Compared with his fellow Constructicons - Rampage (15cm-17cm depending on how you shape his waist, 15cm being the most accurate looking) and Long Haul (14cm)

Scrapmetal would be about 13cm (legs correctly transformed) or 14cm (legs stretched, the way I like it more) while I'd say Hightower can go to hell  

Soundwave trades bulk for height. It's just like the Human Alliance figure, just less egregious.

 

Mixmaster doesn't look quite flattering head on, but he looks good in an action pose.
That Megatron pose looks sweet! I can just hear him. "I SMELL YOU BOY!"

looks like you are right on the smallness of Mixmaster.. I have to disagree with you on the DOTM voyager trough, his vehicle scale is spot on and he is about SS Ironhide’s size witch would be acurate since they are about the same vehicle size..

I guess ill keep my custom as his best version.
I got a spare cab so I can build me a better looking Megatron to.. if I can find me a SS leader someday.

 

Ill say this that walking by the transformers stand this afternoon is definitely going to be interesting that a big display case covered by a sheet.

No idea whats under it but its next to devys display case.

2 hours till panel time here in London my camera broke and my phone doesnt like to take pictures with lots of indoor lights.

If my friend or i take anything interesting ill post it here as well

So my DNA Kit for Mpm Ironhide arrived yesterday and I’m just after equipping everything and man oh man I’m very happy indeed. Such an easy way to fix a horrible problem that is the shoulders looseness! Also the added mojo figure is super nice and it’s gonna be hard not having him peeing on other bots lol

Less than an hour more.. Now this is exciting!

 

I'm totally with you. I'm still going to buy Soundwave since he looks like an amazing figure but the sizing just doesn't quite add up.



You'll have to forgive the horrible quality of this quick comparison but using Red Goblin's scale chart it appears that Soundwave goes through some slight mass shifting even though his vehicle is almost the same size as Bumblebee (if not a little bit short length wise). We always knew the CG cheated a little but with Soundwave I think they were generous to make him look more imposing.

I think what really makes these two figures look bad is the amount of extra kibble that makes Bee look more bulky. I don't know how it's possible at the deluxe price point but if Hasbro could find a way to slim him down and not make his upper half appear so big I think he'd look much better next to Soundwave.

 

I'm so excited for this wave. I want to get all of them! Well, except WWII Hot Rod... but he still looks quite cool!
