Your weird whiny lash-out matters only to you buddy. Your love for that Legends figure matters only to you. As far as I'm concerned, this Devastator has a superior size, superior articulation, superior individual robot modes and sculpt that would more than make up for any short-comings in it's proportions, which by the way, aren't even confirmed since this prototype is just that, a badly posed prototypes.

I'm embarrassed to have even laid eyes on this thing. Looks absolutely horrible and there's no way this could be the intended final product. I think it's safe to say this is mistransformed to the extreme. They must have done it with their eyes closed considering they didn't even attach the arms on the correct sides.

Aren't combiners usually designed all at once?

    Ah, that is rather brilliant.

This has been transformed so terribly that it actually makes me less excited for the final product.

The way the blue dude explodes out to be the chest and part of the legs is fascinating. I'm super stoked for this ridiculous dude. It's crazy how hyped I am for a character from what I feel is the worst film. Toys are rad.

You seem to not realize he's not whining about anything. He's speaking to those whining about a badly posed and mistransformed prototype.

    Fuckin' hell.

Every goddamn show, every goddamn convention.

"ABUBUBUBUBU IT MISTRANSFORMED HASBRO WORSE COMPANY EVER NO BUY TOYS ANYMORE WAHH"!! This is seriously you guys right now. Not even fucking joking.

Seriously. You're talking about the blue prototype and how it's mistransformed and I just wanna talk about how big Overload is gonna be. Also pretty much confirms he's gonna be two legged Overload, yeah? I pretty much expected it though. Overload is literally the core component and the decision to make him bipedal most certainly has to do with the fact that he carries the stress load of all the other figures on him. Making him four legged would probably compromise the stability of the combined mode way too much.

We've known he would be leader class for awhile, right? And every toy before has been bipedal, so why on earth would people assume that they'd base him off concept art instead of other toys that have come out?

That said, they could've maybe made him four legged and had those legs peg together for combined mode, but whatever. I dig it and am ready to add this crazy dude to my collection.

    YES PLEASE

Now to just get a tiny legend class bumble bee and or twins from ebay for him to eat and crush mercilessly. I\'ll use army men for the filthy metbags and their bully rali gun.

I think the question of how many legs he'd have in the end is a fair discussion given that like with the majority of the Constructicons, he never actually had a robot mode in the movie. So if Studio Series is trying for movie accurate robot and alt modes, then what WOULD his "movie accurate" look be? You can fitz around with Hightower and get a look straight from his concept art.

But yeah, at the end of the day two legs or four legs it doesn't bother me. I personally expected two legs as that is the easiest solution for the designers, and knowing how billion dollar companies work if you give them an "Easy Path" or a "Hard Path" they'll choose easy all the time.

The Legends figure has almost no articulation in either the individual bots or combined mode. What even are you talking about?

God this thread is full of overreacting Chicken Littles.

    *raises hand, then waves impatiently*
Has anyone named "this version" other than the card? Blue front-only overalls and goofy pose/presentation? I dub thee:
    DERPASTATOR!

This is a "going back in the oven" viewing, the toothpick isn't dipping clean yet, but the cake's definitely not ruined.
Whether it's a fail or a win, final judgement should wait for final product.

That's not just mistransfromed, that's hilariously horribly mistransformed.

Scrapper doesn't even look like he was transformed. whoever did this just exploded him and attached him to the arm. like holy shit, you can even see where the wheel flips over and tabs into the elbow.

Overload doesn't even look like he's been attached to Scavenger properly if at all if the drooping scavenger shoulders are anything to go by.

I'm pretty sure that the wheel hanging off the back shouldn't even be on the back and be folded upm inside the torso somewhere.

Obviously not gonna pass judgement on Devastator here because of all this, but god damn.

How is Hasbro constantly OK with this when they present their products to would be investors and customers?

I mean I understand WHY this shit happens. whoever sets these things up doesn't have instructions probably, does not have the time to actually do it, and or has never even handled the thing before. But i don't understand why Hasbro allows it. It makes their products look bad.

Looks like two- I posted in another thread already but I think I can see Overload's chest and how his head folds, two legs, and the arm sections in Devy's thighs(see the grey sections with the y shape in his elbows).

I don't like the Michael Bay designs.
I hate, hate, HATE the way Devastator looks in RotF.

But you can clearly see that he is mistransformed -and badly at that.
Further, it's stated on the link on the front page that he's mistransformed.

Why are so many freaking out?

I prefer a poorly articulated figure that looks faithful to the comics/movies than a very well articulated one that's going to looks like extreme shit on your shelf (where it's going to spend 99.999999% of its lifespan)
