Suppose there could be 3rd party upgrade kits that can make Devy better?

Devastator's completly mistransformed and still partially a prototype but we got a first look! He should look way better after the finished team is fully revealed and released! Can't wait to finish this set!

And at the very least, fan modes should look sweet if the official mode is lackluster anyway. DNA designs or whomever will likely jump in and make it even better with a kit too.

I think we should reserve judgement until we have some the renders or more final pictures of devastator. He’s in a weird pose with evident mistransformation and scrapper and overload are uncolored prototypes. Let’s not forget the combiner Wars superion and menasor reveals way back in 2014 or 2015.

Essentially yes, with the added step of folding his head and part of the chest down. It looks like he basically unfolds and flattens and is splayed out. I like how much of the torso and thighs he fills out! Way better than just being a crotch.

I said "I'm NOT gonna say he's NOT worth the price" Sorry for the double negative but I'm essentially saying the price is fine. I want an OSKO just of him so I can recreate the movie scenes. I'll still buy and enjoy this one on its own.

I eagerly await what DNA does with this, although I really want them to start thinking their upgrade sets through more. A lot of them seem to be just extra parts, like the jetfire upgrade. What I'd REALLY want is a weaponizer-style extra figure that splits apart into upgrade components but can come together to form a robot on its own. Someone make this happen! I also hope that Reprolabels doesn't continue to ignore movieverse stuff. We could really use their help with a set like this. They're quite well painted for mainline figures but considering movie Devastator is the most complex Transformer that has ever existed there could always be more detail.

Definitely still interesting, if not as exciting. I don't mind messy first reveals as long as something better comes along soon. What annoys me is all the "it looks like shit I'm not interested anymore!!" comments that betray people's ignorance of how obviously mistransformed and misrepresented it is.

Call me crazy but I like the original's colors more. Megatron wasn't that dark except for a few shots where the lighting was dimmer.

 

Ahhhh that’s my bad then. Looks like I completely misread your post whoops. I guess we’re on a similar page in that case (though I personally won’t be buying an osko for space reasons).

Yep, it definitely looks like Overload is coming with at least a one or two extra partsforming parts, like the barrel cover for Devy's neck, but filling in details (in a hopefully highly integrated manner) is where DNA excels, so I'm eager to see what they come up with, even if it's a wait.

On the Reprolabels side, I'm crossing my fingers. The Constructions are all pretty fine in the paint app department but those construction vehicles have a lot of signage and logos (like O&K on Scavenger) that the figures have chosen to omit. They really ought to dive deeper into Studio Series - because 99% of the time, the sculpting is there and just needs a little extra help! But I'm sure they'd rather do their fifth set for Siege Starscream.

EDIT: Unrelated, but I just want to add that I'm sure the correctly transformed Devastator will be impressive. If they had the foresight to engineer Long Haul and Rampage with freaking ankle ratchets in combined mode, then I don't think they have any intention of messing up the landing.

 

AoE is my third favourite of the six. You want to hear an even more unpopular opinion? I dislike the Bumblebee movie.

Not looking too good so far, but I wont judge him until i see him on all fours, and not mistransformed.

I think I can see Overload's chest and how his head folds, two legs, and the arm sections in Devy's thighs(see the grey sections with the y shape in his elbows). We might get the bipedel Overload!
Edit: Looking closer, the thighs for Devy will definitely be his shoulders, so imagine how sturdy the ratchets could be in those. Overload should be able to lift and hold some serious weight in robot mode. I forsee poses of him throwing Jetfire lol.
