Mmm, no joy, it just doesn't want to go in for some reason. Concerned about applying any more force to it.

 

Yep, its definitely purple in hand. For whatever reason (it has been explained previously) it may look blue in some photos / videos, and i even see it as blue in some, but in hand it is a shade of purple (i dont even find the colour offensive) - for what little its worth i have had a full eyetest recently where i was told my vision including color recognition are as perfect as it gets.
I have posted 2 photos in this forum (1 showing how i believe the target master should be transformed, the other for transformation) and it even looks different in both, but in hand its definitely the 2nd photo colour.

 

Check down the peg hole for flash / sprues. Mine had a load.

 

I wanted to try, but then I think it would go like this instead:

Me: "What color is this?"

Missus: "How much did it cost?"

 

Add me to the list of Jabber owners with the broken hinged filler piece that sits on the back of the calf. Swore I wasn't going to transform it but couldn't resist. Terrible design with such a soft and small plastic eye-hole for that pin to sit in and absorb as much stress as it has to.

 

Got him yesterday. I've got no issues with damage on Jabber, I have managed to crack Cipher though, so great success there. I'm really happy with him, looks exactly like the animation model and fits right in with the rest of the 3P movie guys I have. I probably won't try and transform him just yet, until I've seen a few different reviewers go through it. Overall, despite the concerns that I had in the build up I'm really happy with him, he's exactly what I was hoping for. I think he's blue.

 

That's a lovely play on words, but just to clarify, do you mean you actually broke something on the targetmaster or just that you figuratively cracked the code on how to transform him properly?

 

I wish I was smart enough to have done that on purpose. I mean I've actually broken him. Not broken, one of the bits that the ball joint of his arm fits into is a little cracked

Well that's dumb. Why even talk if you don't care what other people think? An why should anybody listen to you and care what you think if you don't care what they think?

 

Had a mess with mine, everything looks alright but the neck was a pain to force in.

A couple of things I've noted:
- colour difference to the promo shots  
- tiny hands
- non ratcheted shoulders
- the legs \ thighs being blocks that are slightly different sizes
- the knees being offset from the thighs slightly on inside, so they kinda look like giant flared knee pads
- the colours that we've ended up with do work, and it all looks good
- facesculpts are great
- very sleek in bot mode all around
- fit and finish is pretty great on my copy, no issues i can see
- will never transform due to potential breakages as reported here

I sold Buzzing which paid for this and left me couple of quid over, and on balance...i prefer Jabber and he fits in better with my movie shelf. But as a release, not one of FTs best...like a 6/10. It's fine.

I regret missing out on Blurr when it was $89.99 earlier this year. It was during one of those percentage discount sales and I think baba had it for 10% off or something... I kept stalling, but when I finally decided to pull the trigger, the sale was over.

I attend a great many toy shows and comic conventions and was hoping to find Blurr, but most of the dealers don't sell MP's or third party bots. I'd rather pay a little bit more than worry about seller going rogue and ripping people off or waiting a month for shipping.

Anyone who ordered from the TFS Express ex. site get their Jabber shipped yet? They said FT put a hold on all Chinese shipments but (1) I thought ex. was their non-Chinese site and (2) aren’t many Chinese sellers like Baba already shipping their allotments out already?
