I saw the proto type image of the full combined from last year. Wonder how the final will match up with it now that we have an idea of the arm.

The length of this arm has me worried. I hope there is enough support to keep the figure in a decent pose.

I think I’ve figured out how Scavenger’s top wheel becomes the vortex grinder.
    317ACE23-1BCD-4BCB-A6D8-803D7C5344AE.jpeg
From the way he’s packaged we know the upper wheel rotates and is connected to his central head. There’s no reason the wheel needs to rotate specifically for packing as the lower wheel is facing forward in the box.
    DA88FB89-96F2-4614-818A-CB2B7CD92F5E.jpeg
We know the central head can rotate forwards and backwards due to the difference in the shoulder positions.
    098FBE06-8CF4-4E60-BD9B-2E704709CF06.jpeg
So theoretically, the central head could rotate upwards, bringing the wheel with it, allowing the wheel to rotate 90 degrees to become the grinder.

The more I look at the combined image the more I think tonton has it backwards. I think he has Hightower in the Scrapper port.

Now that we've seen video of both Scavenger and Mixmaster, there are loads of questions to be asked. How on Earth does MM connect to Scavenger? Does he at all? Or is the connection to Overload (and then OL to Scav)?

The grinder is a conundrum as well. It LOOKS like you could probably make a shape similar to what we saw on the pre-transforming proto using the wheels of Scavenger. Which is more or less what most of us have been assuming before seeing the toy in hand somewhere. But how would that work with Mixmaster and the Devastator head? The wheels are solid, MM can't sit inside them in any way that is obvious. Which raises two obvious possibilities. 1) Things have changed so much from that mock-up that it is no longer relevant. Or 2) There is a lot more of this guy coming from Overload than was obvious from the start. (Ok, a 3rd possibility: 3) There is a lot of partsforming accessories to complete the look, and those pieces come with one of the last two releases. Again, probably Overload.)

I really hope we get to see a finalized display of the complete gestalt somewhere soon. Fingers crossed for this weekend in Paris or London. Or at least let us have a look at Scrapper and Overload so we can get busy speculating away. I'm seriously starting to wonder if Overload is just going to explode into parts that get added all over the combined robot. Or if the mock-up was just so early that they scrapped a ton of ideas and details along the way. But the curiosity is driving me mad!

Agreed. It looks like he has the torso upside down, and/or at a 90 angle to what it is meant to be. If you look at the early mock-up, you can see the round shapes that sit on either side of Scavengers' head behind the head/grinder set up. And it looks like they should face upward, not forward. I'm guessing that where Tonton has the treads is meant to be the back.

looking at this image, my thoughts are that scavenger's body is going to by angled slightly, facing upwards like you said instead of flat and "T" shaped like the video had it. The port that tonton pointed out on the bottom of scavenger will probably point backwards at a 45 degree angle, connecting to Overload rather than sitting on top of him. Also take note of Scavenger's cab, it should be under his arm rather than over it. Only time will tell us what his proper orientation is supposed to look like.

You know, I wonder about how big Overload is. With him being a Leader Class, but the pelvis part doesn't look that big, unless I'm missing Devastator's Spine.

I'm always torn on Ton Ton: on the one hand I can't help but tune in to his videos out of curiosity to see the toys, especially since he is one of the first reviewers. On the other hand, he is a terrible reviewer and a good chunk of his videos has him transforming the figures incorrectly due to having a prototype/sneaked out figure without instructions. So with Scavenger, a lot of people are voicing similar concerns that I have but because it's Ton Ton, I have faith the concerns are non issues due to his terrible reviews.

Really looking forward to seeing the last couple members of the team. I always liked Scrapper's design; he and Long Haul looked the most like "classic" Constructicons. Although the crazy monster designs of some of the others, like Demolisher/Scavenger, are neat too just because of how unique and non-humanoid they are.

Here's hoping for a full reveal of the entire team & combined mode this weekend!

I\'d like a white repaint to get a Scavenger version.

This thing smells more and more like a potential partformer. If it can make it look like the prototype, I'm not against it.

Used some Zoid pieces to cover up the tracks on my old one.
One of those wolf zoids seems like it’ll have good parts to spruce up the neck on SS Dev.

Looks good! We were never going to get a massive Scavenger/Demolishor that was accurately three times the size of SS Optimus, but that’s fine. And I’d definitely be interested in a white repaint as Demolishor waaay down the line.

Fiar enough, but from the revealed prototype from today it looks like Overload might have some extra pieces.
I'm positive he doesn't, cause he never does. I think it's much less of an excuse when it's a hasbro figure cause they are simpler and have CGI renders that have accurate transformations months in advance. However torso mode is probably just him guessing.
Yeah, if they gave a shit about anything that isn't G1... They've mostly been ignoring studio series, whereas siege and random 3P stuff get regular updates.
More arm and finger articulation was the main thing I was really hoping for with this figure and they delivered! I wish the wrists rotated, but at least you can rotate at the bicep.
He's a "first look" reviewer like Ben, I never give them actual likes, although I do watch their stuff. They both make mistakes constantly and it's clear they rush out their reviews and don't do the slightest bit of research before they do them. I wish they cared enough to take a little more time to do things right cause they both seem to have nice hookups.

the ROTF designs were really alien-looking because they broke a lot of the \'rules\' and while shocking at the time, looking back now I think it was a better move than where the series ended up in the really smooth humanoid-looking designs of AOE and TLK
