Sure it says transformers...but have you noticed that Wheelie and Brains don't transform??

Besides, for screen accuracy sake..you know, for those that care about that..as someone already mentioned, he didn't have one

 

Yeah, but in this case, Wheelie and Brains are only accessories. If they sold a figure in Transformers packaging that didn't transform, that's no longer a Transformer. That's an action figure, or Robot Replica or whatever.

I personally kind of dig the tank mode, honestly. Diff'rent strokes and all, I guess.

Fair point about the action figure thing, but again, you can blame the movie for that.

I've said this several times on here, but I'll say it again. If you guys love Shockwave, more power to you, I'm not "raging", nor knocking on any of you.

What I am saying is that seeing how the first DOTM Shockwave had a decent tank mode, I expected the same or better from the SS line.

 

Remember these are toys for kids. If a kid gets it and realizes it doesn’t do what literally every other Transformer toy has done, I’m sure you would get an upset child as a result. Furthermore if Shockwave was released without an alt mode and with accessories, I’m pretty sure others would complain regardless like “oh why doesn’t he transform like the rest of them do? I pay $50 and it doesn’t transform?”

Honestly, I enjoy Shockwave for how he is though. He looks fine, but Scavenger is the one I’m anticipating more for.

 

Nah, not buying the toy for kids thing. HasTak knows that adults are buying these, which is why they're so much more detailed, and so much more expensive.

But yes, I am waiting on Scavenger. He's my most anticipated SS figure so far. Followed by RB.

 

Scavenger honestly needs more love. I’ve just been casually waiting for his in hand pics but nooooo! That purple prick shockwave is always hogging the attention. Where are his in-hand pictures at? For real!

 

I kinda wish his wheels can either be locked or free wheeling, so that I can roll him around my desk knocking things over lol

 

I agree this line is aimed towards more to the older fans, but again, these are still toys made for kids. I’ve seen kids actually having an interest in buying SS figures. You still have to appeal to them at the very least.

I definitely want to see Roadbuster this weekend as well as Sentinel Prime. These reveals are almost like a high.

Right? Like even Siege fans are already getting their in-hand images of the next wave already. Where the fuck is Scavenger? I just wanna see what attaching Hightower-Scrapmetal and Mixmaster will look like.

I feel like Scavenger is being withheld in order to generate false need. It was already high for being a unique design redone.

Now it's just forcing people to wait for no reason

 

Are they supposed to release the entire SS line at once? I don't really get what you're saying here... there's no difference between this and how the thousands of TF figures before him have released....

 

I mean I get what your trying to say but its also confusing.

With Hasbro and their distribution problems coupled with Brick and mortar ordering and stocking trouble

they were supposed to what release All 8 constructicons at once when theres no why in hell that would have played out without trouble.

 

Why generate "false need" when everyone already buying Devastator absolutely needs him? Transformers have been released in waves since the franchise's inception. You can't get everything at once just because you want it.

Being completely honest, I actually really like this new Shockwave’s tank. It reminds me a lot of the Transformers Prime Shockwave.

Oof yeah. I’ll be totally honest - I kind of forgot they were a thing. So many interesting things this wave, seems hard to cover them all lol.

I have a feeling we’ll get to see them all combined in the next SS convention, but it’s just strange how nobody has covered anything about scavenger (or the arcee triplets) yet. Maybe people couldn’t get those early? Just seems a little weird to me. Scavenger seems to have some interesting things going on, so I’m just dying to see some pictures or even a video of him lol.

 

How does that generate false need though? The only people who have Scavenger right now are thieves who stole factory samples. It's not like they're promoting for Hasbro.
