Has anyone heard of this company. They are offering a remote-controlled Optimus Prime that transforms for $54.99 to the first 200 orders. Price goes up afterwards. HOT SALE-Transformers - Optimus Prime Automorph Remote Control Model Is it legit or a scam...thanks.
Is that 'Automorph' Prime real or is it clever CGI? Also, interesting that the TFs and unrealistically priced figures don't show up under any of the catalog pages. Seems to be a targeted scam, at that. Also, lol at 'Official manufacturing license for transformers'
My intuition was telling me to be careful. I have learned over the years to listen to it. Thanks for the replies.
I’m not as quick to call it a scam as I am to say it’s unverified...which pretty much generates maximum caution from me anyway, as I’m not gonna be the first one. So to be fair: The site is pretty expansive and relatively well done, although the first language of the sites developer clearly wasn’t English, reading from the “about us” page. The “help” page almost exclusively talks about using PayPal, which implies it comes with PayPal protection, so you know, minimal risk. That said, it could easily be a scam with a fairly expansive and well done webpage, with PayPal protection. So caveat emptor.
Get the one with the “contained arsenal” for an additional $15! A MP sized trailer that holds Prime’s weapons for just an additional $15 is to good to be true. Either that or this is obviously a scam
These have been floating around the interwebs for years, and I think it was just somebody's pet project. At one point there was a fund-me campaign starting at like $200 a pop that never really went anywhere. Every so often this will come back up and it's always a "oh that's nice" reaction with no traction. Make of that what you will, I'm calling shinnanegans on the site, tho.
There's 100's of these sites that buy sponsored posts on social media. They are doing skin tight, realistic Freddy Krueger masks for $30, right now. Im still waiting on my 200 free batarangs.
Saw this hit my Instagram yesterday too, I'm staying away. That video is real, it's been out a couple years now, and I can't wait for someone to actually release it. But don't you find it odd they ONLY have still frames from the old video to use on the page? Anyway I do look forward to what the future will bring.
As a rule, if it's on Instagram and you can't find the company by Googling them then it is ALWAYS a scam.
