Well, that wasn't my intent. I was just making a statement, not a correction.

I just wanted to say I like the movie too, and I really like the so called "Dark Age" of Disney.

The build up takes a lot of time you'd think you're watching a normal court drama, and when it switches to horror it feels like a different movie with weird payoff.

Al Pacino and Keanu Reeves are on an opposite terms of acting it's a bit laughable

    Justice League (2017)

Held off as long as I could but...WOW even I could not have anticipated it being THIS bad!
BvS: We're gonna take some of DC's best characters and storylines, then ham-fistedly shoehorn everything into the single biggest mess of a movie EVARRR!!
    Justice League: Hold my beer.

Which makes me sad actually. I know what DC is capable of, but obvious studio intervention and rush to catch up with the MCU has made a mockery of would could've ALSO been great (there's room for both Marvel and DC movies in the world).
I was there when Batman: TAS kicked off the DCAU in 1992, and all the way up til very end when Justice League: Unlimited signed off with the absolutely brilliant two-part finale Alive!/Destroyer. So they CAN play the long game and play it well. Even as Marvel kept rolling out one cinematic success after another, I kept vouching for the other guys to my wife: "DC has good stuff too" as she rolled her eyes...and kept chanting "DC sucks! DC sucks!" :lol

Alright, onto the movie itself. Not much more to say, other than it never feels like it's more than one giant cash grab. Not even Gal as the wonderful Wonder Woman can prop things up this time. The so-called humor is forced as hell, and not even a post-credits glimpse of Darkseid???

    Final score: 2/10

    Hackers 1995.

It has a cult following and I can't stop watching it. There is just something about it that gets my attention.

Not just for Angelina Jolie' lips and quick view of her boobs, much more than that.

The sound track is good. I forget the name of the song that plays in the beginning, it is also at the end of Mortal Kombat. I get sad when I hear it.

    Zombieland: Double Tap:
The humor is still there, it still made me laugh at a lot of its jokes including the "You-Know-Who" reference and unexpected cameo while still making fun of the zombie apocalypse without making it stupid.

So I've been seeing this clown character a lot but couldn't tell which movie he belongs to. It wasn't until later that I found its name, only to hear the news of the passing of the actor.

This movie was weird. That's the best way to describe it. It's a weird exploitation movie that doesn't have a clear point beyond showing the gore. I thought Spaulding was the main villain so I didn't expect the evil redneck family to be the main villains here while he was taking a backseat to the whole thing, so I was disappointed for not getting to see more of him.

    Terminator: Dark Fate - 8/10

(Holy shit, they made a good Terminator again!)

Ok, so I saw Dark Fate here in the UK a few hours ago.

It is by far a better movie than any other sequel we've had for Terminator post-T2.

As far as action goes, it probably has more crammed in than T2 in all, and most of it is well done (the CGI is good - fantastic in some places, but certainly not flawless), but I found the plane sequence (as seen in the trailers) to be a bit too much. Everything before and after that felt very organic for OG Terminator, but the stuff with the plane was too "action movie" for me personally.

I feel like it's worth pointing out that the Rev-9 also provides a decent dash of horror back to the franchise. The way the endo unnaturally picks itself up, and how it scrambles on walls/ceilings in places has a genuine creep factor (the future scene with them could be something very promising, if they go there again too). I also enjoyed how this Terminator really was focussed 100% on its target, to the point it will ignore someone shooting at it from 3ft away, and take the damage if it means it can almost reach her instead, as long as she's close enough - that's something that feels a lot more convincing for a killer robot with an objective! The symbiosis for the liquid and endo was cool too; with the liquid part independently blocking shots to protect the endo, or forming claws/blades over the regular arms in order to cling to walls better ect.

Returning character wise, Sarah was excellent, and what probably elevated the movie to around an 8 for me. Carl was also very good - Arnie wasn't in it much, but it felt like the most organic portayal of a T800 since T2 (ironic, since this one is a "conscious" killing machine for a change). If this is Arnold's final time as the T800, I think his final line/scene will be one to pull heartstrings a little in the coming years.

On the new character front, Grace was fantastic! She played her part very well, feeling like a real character and bringing something interesting and new with the "hybrid" element - the way she can barely go toe to toe with the Rev-9, but needs constant upkeep to keep her going is one of the best things they've added to the franchise since the T1000.

Dani, the new "saviour", is fine too. She comes across as believable enough, and serves her purpose...the only critique of her is that everyone else was just that bit better.

Overall, I really did enjoy watching it. As a sci-fi action movie, it was very entertaining and stands as worthy enough to be part of the franchise. It definitely isn't on par with the first two movies, but doesn't fall a million miles short (which is a hell of a compliment next to two of the best movies ever made).

To me it feels VERY much like Fury Road; lots of breakneck action and some excellent character work. Both movies were a fun ride to me, but could have done with a bit more substance in the "down times" between the flashes and bangs.

The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008):

People said this remake was good, but I didn't like it.

The original was a very good anti-war movie, but here they turned to some pro-environment movie that turned the aliens to entitled assholes who think the earth is better be destroyed for the sake of the environment with a stupid "Technology is bad" ending.

I want to say Keeanu Reeves is the saving grace of this movie, but his character was not likable to call it that. The effects are dated and the McDonald's part was so forced.

Good songs, a nice little revenge story, but it's movies like these (and Child's Play 3) that I prefer to shave at home. Strangers with blades on my face are things I never get comfortable with.

Never seen Hackers, but I’ve watched Mortal Kombat a million times. Is this the song you’re thinking?

Not many Halloween movies explores the roots of Halloween, so this one's for you if you're interested in that aspect.

I liked the anthology structure, but you might feel some parts weren't long enough like the "The Principal" which I found too short
