Really liked dracula (and quietus), though never had lupus - i thought (maybe mistakenly) that he was much earlier.
Hopefully its just the smaller robots FT has problems with and chomp follows the larger bots.

 

He does have that purple tint, but I don't mind it that much. He still fits in with the rest of my movie cast well enough. And since I have no attachment to the character whatsoever, he definitely looks good enough to fill the Blurr gap.

 

I really do not get how people don't see the value in watching reviews/videos of things they don't agree with. Even if you don't agree it can inform your decisions and make you more knowledgeable about the things your interested in. I love and I mean love the PE Transmetal 2 Megatron. But Bobby didn't recommend it and he had issues with it. When I bought the figure I knew what I was getting into and while I did not see the issues he had with the figure as being a big deal I did like knowing about them ahead of time.

I really don't understand this either, especially when it comes to Bobby. The dude is about as consistent as possible, he likes what he likes and that is valuable whether your preferences align with his or not. His viewpoint is a fairly constant metric to measure against one's own and he doesn't hide the things he values most in a piece. I think a lot of the time, people are looking for an echo chamber of their feelings about a product, especially if that echo chamber reinforces how they feel about something they paid for.

I also just say that broadly, you can think a thing is flawed and still like it and even recommend it to people despite those flaws. I think Bobby does a pretty good job of being like, "this isn't a problem for me, but it may be a problem for you" or visa versa. I'm not sure what else any other honest reviewer can do, there is no such thing as a totally objective review.

Have any of the reviews shown a different way to get those side panels on? I can't see any way for them to fit.

Nope. Patently false.
Whether or not you could get replacement parts direct from the manufacturer, overseas stores like Show.z, Action Robo, baba on eBay, multiple TaoBao sellers have all provided service if your figure broke. It’s flat out wrong to say that the only place you could get support was a US store.
And that’s ignoring the fact that manufacturers like FansToys, XTB, MMC have been willing to provide replacement parts for years on request.
Go look in the manufacturers contact thread and you’ll see examples from years ago of people getting parts from the manufacturer. Toyworld even briefly entertained the notion of creating a website to handle support requests for Constructor. Being ToyWorld this of course was all talk and no action but it was proposed because they were handling enough requests for fixes they felt it would be worthwhile.
FT Forager wing clips, FT Soar knee clips, XTB Ollie thighs are just a few I can think of. Manufacturers providing support isn’t new. Overseas retailers providing support isn’t new either. US retailers openly passing the buck to manufacturers and making it public policy is new though.

Also, you're gonna want to be careful getting the arms pegged/unpegged from the hood. A lot of people have reported needing to use excessive force to do so, and there's been one report of forearm breakage. One option, if the pegs on the sides of the hood are too tight, is to shave them down or lose them.

I really like how FT included the optional clear chest windshield option.

 

Really hope Fanstoys fixes that piece and makes it entirely diecast, that's really the only way I can see that whole issue being solved. I want this guy, and his transformation seems fairly simple except that piece is more than likely to break. C'mon FT, next run make it diecast!!!

Indeed they do - and despite me being as super careful as I possibly could be, both of mine are now cracking after a second transformation. @dalianjj is there a process in place to request replacement parts?

 

Decided to check out the hinges on mine as well.

1st has some slight stress marks showing, 2nd has pretty big stress marks and the start of a crack.
After one transformation thats a frickin joke.

 

The more I read about this the less I want to transform him. Bot mode or bust

 

So disappointing. I already won’t transform rouge quietus or their galvatron. One more added to list. Maybe hoodlum too once I get him. What the hell man. Too bad they look so good. Maybe if they didn’t other companies might step up and provide more competition. If their astrotrain breaks I’m going to be crushed.
