I just can't get over the proportions. In my mind, 07 Megatron was lanky, and this figure isn't. Other than that though, it looks fantastic

I think he’s going to be one of those figures where it’s not as noticeable in hand compared to in pictures and reviews.

I personally wasn’t a fan of the SS-32 Prime until I got him in a sale. I thought the stock images made him look like he’d been eating extra portions of Energon O’s until I got him in hand.

I had the same problem. Photos don’t do him justice at all. I only ever get movie Decepticons if any and one day I decided to get Optimus and Jetfire while getting DotM Megatron just to see it if I’d enjoy them and I have no regrets. I really love that Optimus and it convinced me to get a second with the trailer jet pack.

I don\'t like the impression I\'m getting from that third image...

It does a better job of hiding the alt mode kibble than the Masterpiece figure.

Wow that guy is stunning and I can\'t take it. Never was to big a fan of movie 1 Megatrons look, but this is down right stunning. Might be getting this bad boy for sure. Plus it\'ll look good with SS Jazz.

Really wish Rotf Megatron had this level of paint since it's my favorite design of him besides TLK. As a matter of fact this'll be replacing my TLK Voyagers Megatron for sure.

Definitely getting this guy. So glad there’s now a movie 1 Megatron I can afford, as opposed to the MP one.

I don't know what the people saying this looks better than the MPM are smoking, but I'd sure like to try some. Better kibble management? Sure, OK. But the MPM bests this in literally every other way.

I can agree that the MPM looks a lot more screen accurate, but this one seems to win in articulation, alt mode, kibble loadout, paint and stability. I haven't seen a review yet of the MPM where there isn't a small struggle to keep it standing.

I can't speak on articulation/stability, since I don't have the MPM in-hand yet, and like I said, for some of the kibble management (mostly just the wings), this one might be better. But I'd have to disagree on paint and alt mode. I think the MPM's alt mode is spot on, especially with regards to placement of the robot parts. And the MPM has a much more intricate paint job than just spraying the entire figure silver.

I happily skipped the MPM version, but I'll definitely get this one.

We're smoking the 130$ cigarillos we bought from the leftover money after getting this Megatron instead of the MPM-one :p

Meh, never liked the MPM. The weird gold paint looks so out of place, it ruins the headsculpt completely.

By the way, a bit late to mention this now, and I find myself guilty as I was among those who started this nonsense, but there's no need to compare a Generations-style toy to a Masterpiece figure. It’s just dumb, two completely different toys for completely different audiences. There's no need to prove one is better than the other.

Looks really good. Makes me wish Prime was a little bigger/better.

Paint looks great. Does this thing not have ankle tilts, or is the photographer just not using them to their fullest potential?
