It's a shame Wheelie and Brains couldn't be as well painted as Igor and Scorponok, but there ain't a thing Sharpies can't fix! I'm painting them in silver as soon as I find them. Someday ...

Wheelie and Brains are so small, it's crazy! How will I not lose them? Shockwave is a massive improvement over the DOTM figure. In my opinion, Shockwave looks to be the best of the wave.

I think this upcoming wave is the best wave since Wave 5: it rounds out the main 4 DOTM Decepticons, finishes the TFTM cast, and gives us new constructicons and obscure ROTF characters.

That's the first thing I noticed when they released the first pics of the kit. But still, it's a huge improvement!!

I finally ordered mine yesterday, and can't wait to get it!!

Did some HEAVY work on my new Destroyer figure last night and I'm very happy with the results so far! He's about 70% done. Any thoughts so far? I want him to somewhat represent the "crashed on Cybertron" look from TLK, but since that's really hard to recreate perfectly it can also just be "heavy battle damage" or a zombie/nemesis look.

I'm convinced that a lot of those "the older toys were so much better!" people either don't care that they were super inaccurate, or genuinely don't see the inaccuracies in proportions and details unless presented with a very clear side-by-side. Good news is if anyone things the old dotm voyager is better there'll be plenty on ebay soon!

I mean it looks okay for SS but better than the mpm? Not even close. This has clunky legs, a wrong chestplate and proportions the mpm nails all of that. It’s only downside is the backpack, which isn’t too bad actually, and for some the paint, but I think the paint looks fantastic, the KO looks way too dark to me.

I mean he fits perfectly with SS scale, how big did you guys think he was gonna be? He’s taller than Starscream (even without the perspective shift), certainly taller than Prime, a little taller than 07 Megatron (maybe)

If the issue is that he looks small compared to DOTM Megatron, well, can’t argue with that. But according to the scale charts they are the same size, and that pic doesn’t have Megatron’s legs collapsed all the way. And the hood doesn’t help.

DOTM Shockwave appears far more worth the Leader Class pricepoint than Siege Shockwave, that's for sure.

It's funny because looking back to the DOTM line, so many of those figures were great toys (as toys) and not greatly accurate representations of the on-screen models. Battle Blades and Studio Series Optimus run circles around the DOTM Voyager mold, but he's still a fun toy. DOTM Shockwave was also loads of fun, but gets absolutely obliterated by the Studio Series version.

It’s less scale accuracy and more of a “I’m paying a leader price , why is isn’t it bigger”. I want a big badass shockwave when I’m paying 50.

Wow that shockwave looks incredible if you would’ve told me that was 3p I’d believe it. Didn’t think hasbro could kill the paint apps like that. I also love how absolutely tiny wheelie and brains are.

Update on the SS-44 situation. After checking Target's website for the last couple of days and it saying that he should be in stores I made a call to my local Target this morning. They had 1 in stock (which makes sense given he's packed 1 per case) so they put it on hold for me and I was able to pick it up. Paint on the chest windows was immaculate and the box was not crushed this time around.

I went to customer service to do my exchange and when the employee scanned the new box their system popped up with the 1/1/2020 street date.

She was perplexed and almost didn't want to sell it to me but given that I had just bought the exact same figure from their website a week ago, she went ahead and processed the exchange.

So, anyone else who needs SS-44 Target is an okay option but if the streetdate is going to be enforced I'd suggest checking your Walmarts.

Besides that, I finally have my Autobot Leader!

I’ll always love my 2007 voyager Megatron for sentimental reasons, but yeah this new one just blows the original out of the water lol.

Contrary to popular opinions, I think the new ss07 Megatron nailed the jetmode. It’s not completely accurate to the movie sure, but the lack of a head in the front means it looks more like a jet and less of a folded up Superman. Just a tad shame he looks like a penguin in robot mode.

I wonder if you can swap the lower legs between the two.
Probably wouldn’t work from the scale difference, but I’d be curious to try
