one house handed out comic books one year and I never forgot that...never found another time when something that cool was done...

(one house said "Trick" when we said "Trick or Treat" and I never forgot the awkward silence that followed either)

I got a few new packs recently, and let me just say how much I appreciate Grampiano. It seriously feels like a miniscule masterpiece. It even has articulated hands/fingers for Primus' sake. Much respect for whoever designed it.

Oh and also Trisourtops is too damn adorable. Had to rack my brain to figure out exactly what kind of fruit it's supposed to be. A kumquat.

    ***EDIT***

Upon research I discovered that I actually have the Calamity Keys repaint of Grampiano, but my opinion stands. I never did see a piano when series 2 was out. In fact I have quite a few figs that are redos of ones I never found previously.

New unannounced botbots packs are starting to ship out of Vietnam? At least I think they're new.

Okay, so now we've got the breakdown in terms of "tribes" for Series 4:
5 packs Asst: Magic Shop, Science Stuff, "Home Goods" (Kitchen stuff?)
8 packs Asst: Outdoor Stuff, Movie Theater

I bet we'll get a Botbot microscope to hang out with Perceptor.

Maybe they can do an exclusive of The Kitchen Crew now (finally)

I said previously I'd like an Easter Bunny (similar to the teddy bear) and if they made a "Rabbit" for the Magic Shop theme they could repaint it for Series 5 as a "Seasons Greeter" with an Easter Theme (hopefully).

Lovely to hear we have a more solid idea of the themes now for the 5 packs.
Though didn't someone say before about the Magic shop theme.

    ---

I'm sure that this conversational topic has been brought up before but now we know 3 more themes I thought i'd raise it again. Which ones that we have already do people think might be Pre-paints for those themes - as with the roll of Tickets in the Arcade Renegades being suggestive of a Movie theme (he even looks like a Movie monster) or Malcontent being an obvious pre-paint of sorts for an outdoors theme.

I wonder if they will make some more Hats or shoes sometime too ? A Hardhat might be nice for example... it might even fit the shed heads theme.

    ---

I wonder if the Arcade Renegades are a totally stand alone theme or if there is a mould that seems to obviously fit (like D-Pad Chad does) might they slip in a single representitive into the 24 - single packs - via a repaint or as one of the 8 pack padders ?

Likewise with the Bakery Bites and Lawn League having some sort of special status are they off the table too - or could they redecorate their moulds under a Household theme ? or just a straight repaint under the same theme or as a Lost bot. Perhaps it might be nice to have the Doughball to match Sherrif Sugar Rush too.

I hope they do give us the odd new mould for the existing themes though - for example a kids toy Airplane or a Quadcopter might be fun to see as a Playroom Posse Mould.

I think it was Michael Payton, if I remember correctly, but it was a wish/guessing. So... good guess!

I'm pretty sure any mold is fair game as long as it's repainted, ESPECIALLY if I'm right that "home goods" is kitchen stuff. There's no way we don't get redecos of Flat Flour Face and Splatter Batter for that. I don't think D-Pad Chad would be an Arcade Renegade, though-- you don't see handheld consoles in arcades. (Then again, you don't really see powdered donuts either, so I dunno.) I think a D-Pad Chad redeco would be more fitting for the Techie Team.

Bakery Bytes redecos at mass retail, with other appliances and furniture would be my guess.

Possible redecos for Series 4 (my guesses):

Home Goods: Batter Splatter, Flat Flour Face

Science: yet another redeco of Professor Wellread as a science textbook (if this prediction comes true, I called it- a Wellread redeco in each series is basically tradition at this point)

Magic Shop: not sure, might be new molds- can't think of any redecos that would belong here

Movie theater: Greed Feed, Cackle Corn, Knotzel, Sweet Cheat

Outdoors: Mal Content, Rink Stink, basketball redeco of Kikmee

For anyone who doesn't want to do Amazon, Barnes and Noble also has a listing with choices for hardcover and paperback. The hardcover's cheaper than Amazon but it's out of stock.

    Indeed a good guess.

I guess I was thinking that people used to have their old Black and white Gameboy in their pocket when they went to the arcade perhaps (back in the day) so it would be something like that. or perhaps they could claim the theme is related as he's running an arcade emulator.
But yes Techie Team is fine of course - I just brought it up as a possible example as I was pondering the idea of if characters outside a giftset situation would get addressed or if they always remain a stand alone product theme.

Sort of how Shed Heads and Lawn League are similar. But anyone from that theme they slipped into future series i'd expect more to be catagorised as Shed Heads than Lawn League.

I just thought it might be a nice surprise to slip in a repaint of something from the Lawn League into a set and not tell anyone about the colour change feature (Like who Hasbro didn't mention that the 1980's Gi Joe line's Zandar and Zaranna could also change colour)

Homeware would also include things like pots and Saucepans, Measuring Jugs, a wooden spoon, Kitchen Scales a whole host of things and if you stretch the theme to habadashery then you can include things like cushions or lamps too.

Though perhaps there is a 2 thematic ideas in there and perhaps that theme should be just Kitchen or just decor themed so the other idea can be used too - they seem to like a bit of cross over though where there is some grey areas in the theme.

I wonder if some of the Series 1 products that have never been repainted will get repainted now - like the Hot Dog for example.

Totally agree on Professor Wellread, he's going to be like the Seeker of Botbots.

As for the Magic Shop, they tried to make deodorant into a gravestone, I can VERY easily see them redecoing Screen Fiend into a deck/box of cards.

I also think chances are high of Dr. Moggly being redecoed into 3-D goggles for the Movie Theater.

    Great pics!

Grave Rave is also just the perfect size for a lot of dungeon-delving board games. I used him as a zombie spawner in Descent.
