    This thing has shown that the more expensive an item is, the more successful it's going to be. Compare this to the barge, and the later only exceeds its required numbers by less than 50%.

    The real question is, will anyone care?

    The figure's being made. 8,000, 12,000, 12,000,000... so what? You're getting yours, I'm getting mine. Everyone is getting theirs.

    I mean, at best, knowing the final total is general trivia. At worst, some aftermarket eBay seller uses, "limited to x-many!" as their bait on a inflated hook.

    Well, this is obviously the kind of trivia I'm into (at least in regard to convention exclusives), so there's that...

    Beyond the "eBay hook" you've described (and, yes, full disclosure, I have done exactly that when selling convention exclusives), the actual aftermarket value will probably be affected by these production numbers (broadly speaking, harder to get = higher value), so wholly apart from the tactics used, those who plan on reselling their Unicrons later probably have a legitimate interest in the production numbers.

    I suppose, but pointless is pointless. The only thing I ever cared about in regard to final count was it clearing 8,000. Of this final number, I only care about the two that are to arrive on my doorstep sometime in 2021.
